Hi, I am going to start eatting back to basics tomorrow. I am feeling very fat and unfit tonight, I could almost cry. I weigh more today then i did when I haad my kids. My clothes don't eveen fit me anymore. Everything is tight on me, how depressing is that. Sometimes I think I will never lose this weight and get back to a healthy weight. I have tryed so many diets some not so healthy. But the only thing that has worked was then weight watchers had the exchanges. My biggest problem is that I have a hard time sticking to an eatting problem. If I could just stop putting food in my mouth I would be fine. Maybe staple my mouth shut. I do exercise as much as I can which is not to much due to a bad knee.
well sorry for moaning and groaning about my feelings about myself

Hi there.:wave: I'm so glad you posted and are going to join us here. I really believe that this is a lifestyle that does work well. I understand where you are at. Take it slow..start by adding in those wonderul fruits and veggies...and decreasing the stuff that isnt so good for you. Add your water in because it really does make a difference.
Sorry to hear of your bad knee. I use walking for my main exercise. I love it.
Most of all, believe in yourself and your ability to do this. Start each day with some positivity and win the day. I know you can do this a day at a time or even a meal at a time.
As for posting your food journal, Judy and I both started threads here in this forum.. You are welcome to start a new thread here too or if you like, you can do it in the journal section.. i keep mine here because i can keep track better..do whatever works for you.

Thanks for such a warm welcome. you are already making me feel better about myself and welcome here. I do have a question, do you know how many of each food group I am suppose to have ? or can you direct me to the place I need to be at. and should I also count calories also.

I counted calories for a year, and still do add them up in my menus. I found that if i stick to 5-6 starch,2 dairy,5+ veggies,3-4 fruits,2-3 protein that my calories just happen to fall into the 1350-1600 range...which is where I do my best. As your weight is close to mine, i would imagine your range will be close to that also, depending on your activity level.

hi fitin2002 ... welcome to bttb. I have a knee injury and there are some things I cannot do without a brace but we just need to come up with another way to exercise.
