I was just wondering if it is possible to loose weight from drinking a large quantity of water along with eating well and doing some excerising?? :-/

Drinking water is essential not only to losing weight, but to being healthy, too. The best regime you can get on that will help you lose weight and keep it off is eating healthier foods, using portion control, moving more (some kind of walking or exercize program) and drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day! It's a natural appetite suppressant, but also helps your body process the foods it takes in.

Take care and good luck to you!

Thanks for the tip DJ. I was wondering if you could explain to me what protein control is. Sometimes I feel so stupid when it comes to things like this.
Thanks a bunch :rose:

Trish, What DJ wrote was PORTION control..not protein control..portion control is very important..it means finding out what the true amount of food is that you should be eating...for example a portion of protein such as meat would be about the size of the palm of your hand or a deck of cards..about 3-4 ounces..reading food labels will help you learn what a serving is because it says on the food label..I recommend you read ThinLynn's food journal to see what a portioned controled daily food intake would look like..you will find it in the Journal Forum at here at Diettalk.

Sorry about that.

I'll be good now.

Thanks, Sooz.

Hey Trish..... sorry I just saw this. Sooz is right, though. I guess I should have said "single serving sizes". If you have to weigh and measure and watch at first, that's okay. After awhile you just know by looking at things about how much is a single serving size.

Hope that helps..... and don't ever feel bad about asking questions. We all need to once and awhile.

Take care....

Hi everyone..

Thanks for telling me that it is portion control and not protein control. I must have been very tired when I replied.
I know that it is going to be hard for me to do this but I will try....I may need some of you for support. :o Once again..Thanks a bunch!!

No problem on the support, Trish. We all need it as well..... so we'll be leaning on you, too, if that's okay!

We can all do this if we do it together!
