Great news - I went to the doctor today, and my weight is down! Even with my shoes STILL ON! Yippee! My clothes are fitting better and I feel awesome!

Here is where I need help, though - in my past experience, this is always the moment I fall apart. As soon as I achieve some success, I suddenly start thinking I'm invincible, and I go back to all my bad habits.

I got home tonight to find my two skinny roommates have filled the fridge with chocolate... and Hagen Daaz in the freezer... help me.

Does anyone else go through this? Please remind me of what I've worked hard for. I don't want to blow it this time.

greenheidi, sounds like you have accomplished alot, congratulations :) :) :) i just wanted you to know i always do this to myself as well :( soon as i start feeling good, i say oh i can have just a little of this, i am doing so well, then a little bit turns into a lot,and i just keep going, i never see my goal weight. all i can say is dont do it, you wont feel good about it later. and it could cause a huge eating binge. i am going to try to take my own advice too, that is why i started ww points again, i lost 7 lbs, on no diet approach, but i binged for a couple of days, so to get in control, i am coutning points. good luck and i hope i helped a little. you can do it!! you are stronger than that icecream. go get some lowfat icecream, so you have a back up, if you see them eating their ice cream.

Heidi: If you feel this good after a little weight loss, concentrate on how good you'll feel after even more. Think about a number you'd like to get down to. For instance (and this is just an example) if you're at 205, imagine the scale dipping below the 200 mark. Once that happens, imagine it going below 195, and so on.

Keep concentrating on your next goal and what you need to do to accomplish it rather than thinking about how you can "ease up" a little now.

Heidi..

Here is the advice I am getting famous around these parts for: When you are starting to want the ice cream or chocolate or whatever... Sit down.. Close your eyes.. Think of the junkfood and I mean picture it. Now.. Picture it crawling with maggots.. just wiggling about. I go as far as the thought of having a maggot in my mouth and that'll ward off a temptation that will be in my house or at work for a long time.

Where in Canada are you from? I see you have the Cdn flag for your posts but you list Indonesia as for where you are.

Heidi...Going along with Corrina's idea..when the teachers in my school would bring in something gooey and ohh so fatty..I would pretend that one of the kids had just sneezed all over it. LOL Worked like a charm..I no longer wanted to taste or even look at that item of food. Hang in there..it gets easier..and way to go on your weight loss.
