I am trying this again. I want to change my lifestyle not just diet. BUT, with the initial 75 lbs. to lose I know it is going to be intense. I am also a VERY VERY VERY (get the point LOL??) impatient person. I don't see results and I give up. I really really need this place for support. After reading how much you have given each other I know I do. I just have no idea where to start. I have done Slim Fast, starvation, counting cals, fats, etc. excersize and water water water. At one point on a board I was told I could get water intoxicification?!?! Sorry to ramble on here, I am just in need of this, we have a big trip (well big for us :) ) planned for next year and I want to look and feel good! Suggestions are welcomed and much appreciated. I am a stay at home mom and don't get out much. My kids are homeschooled so I need things that include them as well, so like going to the gym are out. Also, the expense of the YMCA isn't realistic because we are a one income family. Thank you!!!!!!!

Welcome littleredmustang-
I think that the fact that you want a healthy lifestyle and not to just diet is a great thing. When you realize that you want to become healthy and not just lose the weight I think it helps a bunch. I'm a pretty impatient person myself...when I don't see the results right a way or as quickly as I'd like I start to fall off track. We've always got to remember what our goals are though. I wish you lots of luck on your journey...know that there are a lot of people here at DT to cheer you on and give you that extra motivation on the days you just feel like you can't fight the battle any longer. Keep us posted on how things are going for you!

Hi again...I am also an impatient person but I know that nothing worth having will happen quickly. Make small goals and that will help you to look at each chunk without being overwhelmed at the big picture. Think of this as a lifestyle change and not a diet. That is also helpful. The more water you drink the better chance you have of losing weight. So drink plenty. It flushes all the bad impurities out. Post and read the forums here on DT..They are very helpful, informative and supportive. Best of luck.

Hi Littleredmustang--you came to the right place for support!! DT is a great place to get motivation and inspiration. Good luck on your mission.
Walks are great exercise and you can take your children with you!! I too have children, so sometimes I take them in evenings, but I really like going myself, so I go first thing in the morning while they are sleeping, plus its not too hot yet, its nice and quiet--great time for thinking!
I walk daily for 30 minutes every day!! As someone else above said, I agree, drinking your water daily is very important. Drink at least 64 oz. ++
Good luck and I look forward to more posts from you!!
