these last two days have been really bad... I've been snacking a lot. I really should stop this, and I was going to start writing down everything I ate a couple of days ago so I wouldn't want to write down something bad that I ate so I wouldn't eat anything bad, but my friend in school said that she started doing that and it is so hard to stop, and she told me because I'm 15 and she's 16 we both shouldn't be worrying about what we eat yet or feeling guilty about it... but I think I have to start writing down everything thing I eat, because this is really bad! Today I had a bagel, a few pringles, and some frosted animal cookies! That's not a good report to write in a food diary!

Fox,
You want to eat healthy at ANY age. If you know your snacks could be better, than go ahead and keep track so you CAN see what you truly eat during the day. It's a helpful way to get you focused. Make some better choices for your snacks and you won't need to write it down. You can't change what you ate, but you can choose what you will eat next. *

Hi Fox..

Just remember a healthy lifestyle is the key. Sugaree you said it perfectly and I'm not going to try to repeat that. When I was in high school I lived off of Pepsi and Reese cups...NOT healthy..now as an adult I am paying the price of not being able to lose a pound without alot of work. Changing your lifestyle (for ME anyway) is not an easy thing to do, but it is attainable with alot of determination. I love the journal idea and think that even on a bad day you need to write it all down..maybe the next day you feel like picking up something not so healthy it will be a reminder to grab a carrot instead?! Good luck and hope to get to know you better!!

Fox if that is all you ate today that is basically starving yourself.. That is if you didn't eat anything else...That's not even hitting 500 calories.. and if it is it's still not enough fuel for your body.. You've got to eat more to keep that metabolism working.. You are young and if you mess around with it you can do grave damage to it in your adult life.. Basically you can shut your metabolism right off...Please eat healthy choices ..3 square meals and healthy snacks in between.
