Do you reward yourself after hitting a set goal? I was thinking that I have about 75 lbs. to lose (give or take, not sure of my final goal) and that I would set 10 lb. goal increments. After each goal letting myself have a little treat like...getting my nails done for one, maybe get my hair done, some new make up, new shoes..just something specifically for ME and nothing to do with the kids or hubby and absolutely nothing to do with FOOD. I don't want to sound selfish, but I want to keep the momentum. I have been known to drop about 20 lbs. and give up. I want to go all the way this time and I think little treats here and there would really help. So, any ideas??

I think rewards are a great idea! I've rewarded myself with a charm bracelet and charms for every 5lb loss (I only have a little to lose) and then a charm every now and then for maintaining.
A few ideas: do something you may not necessarily do for yourself or buy yourself. I always buy make up, so I decided not on that. But a facial is something I wouldn't do for myself and so that might be a good idea when I get enough charms or later.
Do not use food rewards. You've already probably guessed this with your ideas. This way you don't feel guilty about eating something too much and it won't feel like a "diet" because you could have it at any time. I think that's what got me in the condition I was in.
Just do what makes you feel good. Be a little selfish. You're not only becoming healthy for you, but for your loved ones (so you don't die from being too overweight and you can do things with them).
Maybe write down your list of ideas and pick the one you want when you get to a 10lb loss.
Good luck!

I am saving up to reward myself with new clothes for school. I will admit to using food for a reward once or twice. I love the potato skins at pizzerino uno..and after a huge loss I have treated myself to those. The last time though, they no longer held their appeal so that reward is no longer valid.
I'm getting fake nails when I lose 50lb (3 more to go). It seems appropriate, since on the beginning of this journey I went on some pretty radical plans (all given to me by doctors), and while I lost 20lb, my nails also got completely destroyed. I've had proper nutrition and supplements for around 5 months now, but they are still bad. So a celebration is in order.
And I always get myself smaller jeans. I have all my other clothes tailored to fit the smaller me, and jeans are the only thing I really buy new. I'm getting size 8s this week. Considering I couldn't even close size 14s when I started, this is really exciting.
