I have a friend who is trying very hard to lose weight. From what she tells me, I really think she isn't eating enough. Awhile back, someone here at DT (I can't remember who) posted a topic about what happens to your body when you don't eat enough. Can anyone out there reply to this and give me the information that I can pass along to her?

If you go to the diet forum and look for a topic called starvation question posted by Debi36 with a date of 8-01-2001 in there is a post by big bones that my be helpful. The date on that post is 7-18-2001. I hope this is helpful to you.

Well if you aren't eating enough when trying to lose weight your metabolism will shut right down and hold onto reserved fats...you can also suffer from osteoarthritis and other bone generated diseases.. :(
