Have you heard about the new study that says if you are overweight in your mid 30s - 40s, you will die 2 - 3 years earlier than normal weight people? The part that I didn't like to read from the study was that even if you lose the weight, you still are at risk because the damage may have already been done.
Everything I read in other books say that losing any amount of weight, the more the better, increases your chances of improved health.
The study almost make me feel, since I fit into that category and am already overweight, what's the use of trying to lose the weight if it doesn't help. Of course, I want to feel better personally so I will continue with my health and exercise plan.
Do doctors with studies like these really think they are helping people? What do you think?
