Well, 5 days ago I started on a diet again. The first 3 days were really great but now I am craving meat really bad. I think I have already lost 2 or 3 pounds but it is becoming increasingly hard to get past the craving. I really have changed the way I eat. I'm not starving myself; I'm eating plenty of vegetables but very little meats. I'm cooking with alot of chicken broth for flavor and it has been very sastifying; however, I think I need to include more meat in my diet to curb the cravings. The upside is that I haven' t been craving any sweets and I feel healthier already. I just need to figure out why I am craving so much meat right now.

if you post a sample day's menu maybe we can figure out what the problem is..you really should be eating some protein at every meal..are you doing that? try adding 3-4 ounces of protein at lunch and dinner and a serving of protein at breakfast as well...

You may be craving meat because your body is
starting to receive the right nutrients.

When you have the right nutrients in your body
the sweet cravings will go! They truly do.

That is great. You're on your way.

Doesn't it feel great to start feeling healthy?

I recommend to eat a little more meat because
your body seems to be asking for the protein.

I always say listen to your body. It will tell you.

You may also want to eat legumes to help the
protein craving.

Congratulations on the pounds you lost! :-)

The beginning of a new and healthy you in 2003!

Xo, Tanya

Since you are mainly eating vegetables you are probably craving meat because you are lacking protein in your food. You can't exclude any food group and be healthy.

1) 3 pounds in 5 days seems like a lot of weight to lose. If you cut food out. You will have the craving problems.
2) It some lean meat like 3 oz of chicken grilled or baked.
3) It meat when you want it. Just don't fill up on it. Fill up on the veggies and water.
