the last 2 days i did excercise and drank my water and didnt overeat or binge, so why do i feel like i am failing already??? because i wanted to commit to being on the rs program this year, and everytime i end the day without closing one of the windows or following it to a tee, i feel like i am failing the program, oh the head games that go on inside my mind. so i need to just make this one last change for the new year and just do what i know needs to be done, and listen to my body signals. i dont know why i think i have to be on a program, the last 2 days i was in control and ate pretty heatlthy, but i am eating less also, so i know i can do this. i will keep rs and ww pts principles and portions in my head but i am not going to commit to them, i know i have been down this road a million times, and it is time to stop this craziness with the diet plans. this year i have to do it. it is the only way i feel i can change me, at my own pace on my own terms. i will succeed.

Debi

I know at times I feel the same way, have you been keeping a journal at home like in your spare time you write in a note book saying like what time you got up for the day, what you ate through out the day, what exercise you did, how you were feeling through the day. I have been doing this and eating less in fact I have been going to FitDay.com and adding up my calories for the day and I am eating WAY less then I thought I was, my problems are the sodas and chocolate. Just knowing this I have TRIED really hard to stay away for those things. Having a journal seems to help me a lot.

Hope this might bring your spirits up...if you forget something don't feel like you are failing you are human and might forget something from time to time.

Have a GREAT day. :)

Debi, no you have not failed! You are just trying to find your way into a "program" that works for you. The one that works for you may be one you make up as you go along.

Julie is right. Find the program that YOU can live with. The one that doesn't make you feel like you are depriving yourself. Just keep up the hard work you're doing and take it one day at a time. You'll get there! :rose:

Our mind sure has a way of trying to make us fail don't it. You are eating healthy and that is all that matters.

joanne, thank you, i have to tell you that the new picture of you is great, you look so young(not that you looked old before) but it really is a good picture.

thank you sixy. you look like you are on your way. congrats on the weight loss.

angel, yes what is up with that?? alot of why i fail is because of the stupid mentality of thinking too much about it. just live life and eat when you are hungry. not think about it all day, what will i have for breakfast , is it time to eat lunch yet(even if not hungry) oh i havent eaten in 4 hrs i must get something to eat(even if not hungry.) its so dumb. time to live life and not make food so important. well, that is my new theory anyway.

Great theory and I hope it works for you. I need to start telling myself that as well, because as soon as I start listening to what my head is telling me, I mess up.

yup, if i just listen to my tummy i think i will be alright. now pms week, that is a whole different story LOL my tummy would be telling me to eat all day, it really does growl alot, but i will deal with that in a whole different way this year. i cant pigout that time of month, i will ruin everything i am trying to accomplish.
