I lost 15lbs. and 6 inches in the last month. My husband lost 20 lbs. and went from a tight 36 size to a 34 jeans. If you would like to know more about how we did it, please email either me at csb7@email.byu.edu or my husband at atp4@email.byu.edu.

keep up the good work.

I certainly wish that I could be successful at weight loss. I am so depressed about my weight. I cannot control my appetite. I feel miserable and so unattractive. I never undress in front of my husband-I am too embarrased. Please give me some tips.

Ladybug,
Please don't be discouraged. The stats show that 60% of Americans are overweight or obese so you're not alone in your struggle.

I am obese--I weigh 40% above my ideal weight. I hate buying plus size clothes, my feet hurt, and I don't have the energy nor sleep well like I used to. But you know what? My goals for this month is to not GAIN weight, exercise regularly and change my eating habits for ever.

Don't get so hung up on what the scale says. I prefer to weigh myself once a month. It takes a long time (unlike Catherine's post)to stop bad eating habits and lose weight.

My advice to you is BE GOOD TO YOURSELF. Don't get in the mindset of "I can't do this, I'm too fat." Make time for yourself to exercise, keep lowfat snacks available in case you want to binge, and drink lots of water. The next time you have the urge to pig out, think about how bloated you felt and how uncomfortable your clothes fit.

Start today with your next meal and exercise. GET THROUGH THIS THIS DAY--that is your goal.
