Will these two lose weight with the same speed?

For someone who is overweight(60lbs), and low activity level.

Start exercise, continue eating as eating.
Eat less and cut fat/carbs/calories, but no exercise.

thanks

Hi boOoost, There would be to many variables in your details to give you a short answer, but I can recount my own journey, I decided early last June to start off by cutting way down on the food intake, sensible levels, but all junk food ,chocolate, ice cream, cakes biscuits were off limits and a lifestyle/change in our households eating habits was started, and the weight started moving, no planned additional exercise was done, but this was because in the summer months ,I work long hours and its pretty heavy going, and also I felt that at over 400 I was risking an injury etc and no work no income, but since December when I lost the initial 100 I have now been slowly building up specific exercise and It is without any doubt going to play a large part in keeping the weight loss going and maintaining when I reach goal, Many of the more experienced members will give you all the info advice you require but you would be best giving them a little more details, Mine without doubt was all the high sugar foods and drinks and lots more issues that I found many answers to here at DT, so best of luck the secrets here, So is the caring people with the knowledge to help you find it.
Good luck

read this,http://www.howstuffworks.com/diet.htm I think this is the most clear I've ever seen the info. I don't think it makes a difference, just try to eat healthy and do what works for you. Eat less, burn more....or both, unfortunatly, actually doing these things is the hard part. Take Care

boOoost,
You're doing great whatever you've done up to now. If the second way works better for you, then do it. Most people can't afford the time to exercise enough to lose weight without cutting back food intake.

I would DEFINITELY recommend the that you do both! :)
Eating healthy AND exercising are both crucially important to weight loss and good health. I have been doing both (and plan to continue to for the rest of my life!), and I can say from experience that doing BOTH makes you feel better and helps you lose weight. I have lost 6.5 pounds since January 1 of this year. I'm so happy with myself and with life in general!
Please, do both. Your body will thank you so much for it, you'll see!:D

Hi Boost,

That really depends on you. If there's a way to lose weight naturally and without exercising, will you prefer that to exercising and eating the same way?
My friend has personally lost about 10 kg in 2 weeks and another friend has lost 30 kg in five months. I myself are embarking on that and have lost around 3 kg in 6 days.

I agree with Lisa.... Raven's website suggestion is REALLY helpful. It lays things out so it's very easy to understand.
