Hey guys/gals. I'm new to this forum.

I'm 25, and I live in the Bay Area, CA. Last year at this time, I was 308lbs, and as of this morning I was 236.5. I was once at 228, but the holidays came around, and yea.

I lost my 80 lbs (308 to 228) over the course of a year, and I have cheated many times. But I stuck with it overall, and got my results.

My goal is 200. I'm around 6'1", so I think even though my BMI will still be off, I'm a muscular guy, so 200 should be good for me.

Well, just wanted to introduce myself, and I'm happy I found this site. :)

I'm glad I can be of modivation! To be honest, the only thing I'm really doing is watching what I eat. Instead of going to Burger King, ordering two burgers, King Sized fries, and a large coke, I eat a healthy choice, or make myself chicken breast with mushrooms, and a side salad with fat free dressing. There are times when my craving for something goes out of control, and instead of giving up all together, I just satisfy my craving, and continue on my diet. I don't work out much, but I try to take the stairs when I can, or take a 20-30 minute around the city during lunch.

Let me know if you have any questions... there really isn't much of a science to losing weight as far as I see it... it's just a lifestyle change... if we want to be healthy and lose some weight, we must understand that our obsessive compulsive overeating and eating bad food has to either be cut down. I know it's not realistic to say it'll be eliminated totally, so I just tell myself I'll treat myself to something I've been craving, if say I lose 5 lbs by a certain date. if I can't wait that long, I just go in for the craving. it's been working for me.

Plus, whenever you reach for that food that you know is bad.. tell yourself... "i know what this tastes like, so I can wait to eat it again". Plus, once you lose the weight, you might miss some of the food, but you won't miss being overweight. I'll guarantee you that.

good luck
