I am soooo into "My Walking Program"!!! I go real early in the morning (7:30 EST) There are 2 reason's for this.....(1) to make sure I get it done before anything else get's done...(2) I really know that the effort I put into this help's me the rest of the day with what goes in my mouth. I don't want to ruin all that hard work by eating "junk food" the rest of the day. Maybe it's a mind thing.

I walk an hour everyday....which is little over 3 miles. And that is Everyday!! Week-ends also. My area is all up & down hill, and when I feel my butt throbing I know I'm doing something really wonderful for it!
I also have a treadmill for the winter...BUT I will walk outside it's it above 40 and not icey outside.

My neighbor's call me the "Diehard" in the neighbor! When I walked this morning, it was misty...My favortie time! Nothing keep's me from "My Walking"! It's got to be a very good habit.....just like brushing my teeth everyday...

Reason, I'm telling you all this? Get out there and "Just Do It"! Put on your best sneaker's and open up that front door and get out there!! Don't be self-conscious. Geez, I've had guy's honk at me and I just think to myself.....Get A Life! I'm 51 yrs. old!! Duh!

There is nothing better for your heart, your body, and most of all your self-confidence!

great post Linda!!

It's so good to hear someone so so positive. I'm not really into walking myself but I do miss my step and tae-bo if I don't do it!! It's great to have such a good habit!!!

Isn't the walking addicting??? I love it. I've been walking for over 2 yrs. now. And I'm still not tired of it. I don't have a treadmill ( and i don't want one! ). I walk outside in the winter too. It's great!!! I'm up to walking about 5 miles an hour. It burns lots of calories and really slims the hips and thighs. I loved to hear the enthusiasm in your post. Keep me posted on how you're doing. Happy walking!!!

You are so right about walking! I started again last week, and already I feel better. More energy, etc. I'm only up to 2 miles, but you've inspired me to build it up!

Thanks!
