I have a little success I would like to brag about if you all don't mind. Yesterday I took my little one and a little friend of his to see his sister play volleyball, and there was the concession stand (my use to be favoriate part of ballgames) we walked right past and I didn't get a thing. Later my daughter, when she was finished playing, got the little ones some M&M's but she had to leave, me holding the bag. I proceeded to feed the candy to the little guys, they are 17 months and 2 years old, and not one M&M found my mouth, not one, that was will power, I love M&M's.

Simply astounding.
I could never do that. My only defense against temptation is to keep it away. If it's in reach, it's in my mouth.

Sisnelly, really enjoyed your story. M&M's are one of my favorite "binge" foods and I have to be real careful w/them. I have always found it is the "first bite" that gets me started and in this case the "first M&M". Looks like you and I must agree!!!

Congratulations Sisnelly. Willpower is what they call it. There's no way that phrase "Like stealing candy from a baby" won out on that one. TEEHEE

Thank You all so much for your replies. I just knew that the first one would not be my last. ;) Yes the little victories do feel great, a matter of fact they keep me going. Not to metion the support I get here and the knowing that I have to be accountable. Thanks again.

I had a similar experience tonight. I work in a supported living home. I had to feed one of the residents chocolate cake that was left over from a birthday party. There was plenty for me to have a peice, and I just stared at it. It was so tempting. (I'm such a sucker for CHOCOLATE!) But I didn't eat any. I got an apple instead. GO ME!!!

Good job Tif. I know that turning you head is a hard thing to do. Ecspecially when your sitting there with the goodies in your hand. I have a 3yr old and constanly get left holding her bag of treats. Even though it is usually raisins or dried fruit. I have really tried to not snack if I am not hungry. Good job.
