I stumbled on this trick quite by accident and would like to share it. I often find I crave ice cream if I am real thirsty! I have found that by drinking at least 2 glasses of ice water (and it must be ice water), the stomach is somehow faked out, at least temporarily. Must have something to do with it being real cold and filling. I know this may sound silly, but what do you have to lose (other than weight)! Give it a try. If it doesn't work, then at least you have gotten down 2 glasses of water.

good tip pony..what i have been doing lately, is putting one or two tablespoons of frozen vanilla yogurt or low fat vanilla ice cream in a bowl..and then filling the bowl with diet coke..it takes a long time to spoon up the coke mixed with the ice cream and it is creamy and good. 1/2 c. of the icecream or yogurt is 100 calories..so not bad at all...like a coke float.

Another thing that works is to freeze real yogurt... (not the frozen ice cream type yogurt) but the kind you find in the dairy section of the grocery. Get a nice flavored low fat or non fat type and freeze it. It's great and you only have about 100 calories in a whole tub of it. I get the "Gogurt" sticks of frozen yogurt and do that. They have a cotton candy flavor that is so sweet and nice and it's very low fat and 70 calories.

Hey, thanks for the tips. I am always looking for ways to satisfy my sweet tooth. I have another one that you can find on the Recipe Board. It involves rum raisin ice cream. Ck it out.
