View Full Version : An idea I'm excited about...

I've had this idea about making meal plans ahead of time for the week, counting all the calories and other nutritional information. I've made meal plans for the day before, but making the meal plans for a week ahead would really get my butt in gear, especially if I knew people were looking foreward to seeing it here, so they could try it as well. I could even give an approximate cost of all the groceries for the week to feed a family of four.

Would anybody here be really interested in this?

Another idea is I have this book that contains the nutritional information on a lot of foods, even those at restaurants. Once a week I could post the nutritional information on a variety of foods at a specific restaurant. I know that information is already contained on this site for some restaurants, but it would be a little extra, anyways, in the post.

Any opinions?

I think planning ahead is essential. I know there are many of us here who post menus in their journals. I've been planning my menus a week ahead and have a 6 week rotating menu plan at this point. Im adding new menus at this point to go with whats n season in terms of fruit and veggies. I have mine balanced out for my particular calorie needs and also broken down by % of fat carbs and protein. I post the menu part daily in the bttb challenge in low fat forum. Sometimes I will post the recipes in the recipe forum.

I think if it helps you to get in gear, as you put it...then go for it.
