I haven't been able to find the Whole Wheat Pasta anywhere! I have checked the major grocery stores here (Eagle and Walmart) and have not been able to find them. I live in a town of about 20,000 people is that why? Or does everyone have this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can find it at health food stores, co-op's or stores that feature
country or bulk foods. Most major grocery stores have a section that have organic foods and you should be able to find whole wheat pasta there. I live in a town of under 1000 and I am fortunate to have a country bulk food store and a co-op food store and can get all those things very inexpensively. The grocery stores are expensive. Look in your yellow pages of your phone book and see if there are bulk food or natural food stores in your area. Hope that helps:) :) sandycan

I can find whole wheat pasta at my local supermarket. Then again, I live in a million + people city. I had no idea it could be difficult to find for some people! I would also suggest you ask your supermarket to order it. Health food stores are very expensive for that type of things.

The stores near me have it in the organic foods section. But for something as shelf-stable as pasta or rice, if you can't find it in your local stores, mail order might be a good option for you. Also, I know in the regular pasta aisle at my local stores, a couple of the brands have wheat blend pastas, which may be better than nothing.

Welll i decided to go ahead and order it from the store that sooz suggested. I hate paying shipping and handling charges, but i need to add something more to my weekly meals, need to shake things up a bit! and i miss the taste of pasta! Thanks Sooz and everyone for all the good advice!!

I'm sure there's at least instant brown rice. I live in a small town and I get instant brown rice at Wal Mart.

At my Wal Mart, the whole wheat pasta (Hodgson Mill brand) is not on the regular pasta aisle... it's by the health/diet foods a few rows back.

Whats the fiber count on the instant brown rice?

The whole wheat pasta (Hodgson Mill brand) is pretty good and it has 6 gms fiber per serving.

glad you liked it!!!!

about the instant rice, it is convenient, but once i started using regular rice i found it tastes so much better, and is not that difficult to make, that i would never go back..i use the brand mahatma...their cooking directions are very easy and it is consistently good!!!

I never use instant either...thats why I was curious about the fiber content.
