Just to let you know...I started having a lot of problem with my teeth. The dentist asked if i sipped on water all day. Well, he told me that if you drink water and didn't allow yourself to get thirsty....you were not allowing the saliva to do its thing. If you drink too much water and your saliva glands are activated..they cannot get rid of the bateria in your mouth as they are supposed to!!!!!!! I was shocked.....anybody else ever heard this?

I have never heard of anything about saliva glands being affected adversly by water, but I have heard arguments against adding too much flouride to water. Too much can discolour the tooth enamel. Where there is too much, the teeth become mottled. The teeth don't decay, they just look bad. Flouride is natural in water anyway, but not in bottled water. Maybe you should ask your dentist if you should drink bottled water or if this will make a difference. It's weird because you never hear anyone suggesting that you drink TOO much water!!
