Well, yesterday I went to Old Navy with a friend of mine b/c I wanted to get some capris. I didn't expect any change in the fitting of different size pants b/c my 18s still fit, they were really loose, but they still fit. But I tried on some 16s anyway, and they fit perfectly! There was no bulging fat roll over the front of the button or anything! I was so happy because I can't tell that I'm losing weight and I'm 4 lbs from a 30 lb loss and this made me feel like I had accomplished something! Here is my problem: the 16s are so loose that I think the 14s may even fit(button) but I was scared if I tried them on and they didn't fit that I'd get discouraged...what's everyones opinion on that?

thanks!

woo hoo!! fantastic!! i think you should try the 14 s on, and if they dont fit, dont be discouraged, be motivated instead..just remember how they feel, then when you try them on in another couple of weeks and they DO fit you will feel GREAT!!!! and if they DO almost fit, then buy them and keep looking at them every day to motivate yourself!!! congratulations!!! going down in size is the BEST!!!! *

ashlenosu, that's great news and VERY encouraging!! Thanks for letting us know. It's always so inspiring to hear about smaller sizes! Makes me excited for when I will be able to do that, too.

Take care and enjoy your NEW size.....

I went to Old Navy today and tried on the 14s in the same capris and they buttoned (were tight...) but they still fit! :-) That's so awesome...that means by the end of the summer I will have at least dropped TWO sizes!!!...

I am so happy for you. When I went to Old navy I had a different experience.

They don't have women's sizes. So I had to try on the 18 instead of a 14 W or 16 W. They fit find around the tummy but there was a big bulge at the back. I all the weight I am losing is coming of my back side.

I lost 4 in on my bra and even my old jean that fit perfectly now don't fit in the butt.

Yet, I am not discourage. When I walk and my knees don't hurt because of the extra weight. Then I feel great about myself. Clothes or no clothes I always look awesome. I just want to feel awesome physically.

Good job! Looks like you and I are pretty close to the same weight loss and goal. Don't get discouraged either. I just recently got into 16's and was all excited then in the same shopping trip had to buy a pair of 18's in a different pant that was cut smaller. I was dissapointed but still happy because I knew I was still down another size. I even came home and put hubbys jeans on and they fit...tight...but they fit! He has a 36 inch waist but when we met we both wore 31-32 inch waist jeans and it has been a LONG time since I have put something of his on. I think these particular pants were 38 but they were still his and they still zipped up and that made me smile. Now I steal his t-shirts all the time...lol! :)
