View Full Version : here is what I did for 2 weeks down 15lbs!
Well the first week liks I said I cleaned out my system and ate nothing for the first 2 days. That has always worked for me, then I just did very very low calories until my system adjusted. Alot of ice tea only 60 cal a glass BUT again alot of ice in mine...I chew ICE ALOT! Yesterday I had a baked potatoe and peas and a small piec of steak......I am very very calorie aware right now...BUT still treat myself to the things I want like popcorn in the evening...Just using my good common sense. I hope this helps and gives you all an idea its really nothing set except for EXERCISE>>>POOL AND TREADMILL I have been spending 1/2 in pool or more and 20 min on treadmill trying for everyday. So its NOT MAGIC AGAIN I HAVE NO SECRECT>>>I HAVE REALLY BEEN WORKIN HARD...GREAT BIG HUGE HUGGY WUGGYS...MATTIE
patricians2001 06-22-03, 05:22 PM I really think you are on to something with the ice. I'll incorporate that plan.
Keep up the good work.
Isn't it funny how our bodies work? We can go for a long time feeling down and not making progress, then all of a sudden everything is on track again.
You are such an inspiration of how it has to be a live long commitment.

I did not know that about chewing on ice Jessica. I will be careful. Thanks

MATTIE I'm with you on chewing the ice.. Heck when I was pregnant for my first child that's all I craved was ice and popsicles.. I was always so very thirsty... Ice chewing symptom?? What the heck will they think of next???? 8-|
You know what cathyc I dont need to be told about chewing ICE! Nor do I need web pages to go to....Chewing on any thing hard can be bad, food is bad, certain colors are bad...If I did everything that the people said to me where bad I would not be down 419 lbs.....
patricians2001 06-23-03, 01:42 PM Sister of Dental Hygenist here!
You can use ice without biting down on it.

CathyC1 06-23-03, 02:06 PM Mattie, how dare you be so ignorant to me!
I wasn't posting the info for YOU! I was posting as a support for what Jessica posted. Chewing ice can be very hard on the enamel on your teeth. It can also be a sign of iron-deficient anemia.
Many people on this board care about their health. Their total health not just their weight.
It is responses like yours from someone who is trying to be helpful and concerned for the health of others, that makes people want to leave this board.
If you feel you want to go then go. Dont blame it on me or anything else. I was ask to post what I do to lose weight and ice is a big part of it then you have to come on and tell me and others its bad for oyur teeth and post web sites about it. Please dont say I was ignorant to you. I dont know you or you me and dont care for the tone of your post. I lost and this helps if you dont care for what I do then too bad!
BerthaMarie 06-24-03, 05:19 PM I agree Cathy but some people make up screwy diets and expect to be applauded for their poor nutrition. They may lose, but will they keep it off? I've kept 200 pounds off since 1976 eating a sensible, nutritious diet, not going without and chewing ice.
If that comment is on my behalf! I have never asked for anything at all...BY the way I HAVE LOST419lbs since March of 1992 I have kept all of it off BUT a few pounds I put back on this last year due to family probelems and handling a death in my life. I am so tired of people asking me to post then making comments about what and how I lost weight. You wil never nor has anyone ever seen my diet that I use. I know what works for me will not work for everyone. As for being applauded the only time you see me making any comment about rewarding me or others in when people like Carney Wilson go on TV and brag about the weight surgery they had and what a rough time she had and how she could not lose it naturally. I have worked hard to get here and I am still working at it....I have bever gone without and never have recommended it. So please again dont be critiacl of what I post ICE and lot of it is also a very good substitute for water.....:(
