For those of you who use fitday.com to keep track of your calorie intake, etc. I noticed alot of the foods I have added or have customized has disappeared and some are still there. Am I doing something wrong or is it automatically "purged" out of the system when a food is not used within a couple of weeks or do they allow you only so much space because I noticed on my customized foods it only goes up to K and then stops? Thanks for your input. Tina

I thought so too!
But on that bottom box where you add things, the very last thing in the pull down says list all entries, or something like that.. I clicked on that and it listed everything I entered..
But, sometimes I think it lies about my calories lol
Wish someone would add mine up, that knows all about the counting to see if it matches fitday LOL
WELL DUHHHH!
I feel really stupid now! LOL
You would have thought that when it stopped on K that there was more hiding down there, but did I look? NOOOOOOOOOO
I think your right Karen, I don't think its very accurate at times. But when I have all the info. myself I put it in there, but when I cheat and eat something I shouldn't have and I have to look up stuff like "fried chicken" I just don't feel real comfortable with what they have listed. But its something to go by at least.
Welcome to Diettalk Karen, your going to love it! Tina

I think fitday gives generalized numbers for food. They cannot possibly take into account every different variation on how a person would cook, say, fried chicken. When I'm too lazy ;) to figure out the food counts in a recipe I just pick something I figure is close and use that. I'm just looking for a general tally of approximately what I'm eating not a perfectly accurate count. I don't think Calorie Count books are any more specific if you were doing it yourself. First of all, they mostly only list specific brand name items. I use a lot of generic brands so I just pick one and use it. Like I said, I'm just looking for a guestimate anyway not spot on bang on perfectly accurate numbers.
