Hi all, I just wanted to share this little tip my hubby gave me the other day, it made alot of sense and has got me out swimming :) "I would not be caught dead in a swim suit being this over weight", was my excuse, so I would decline all invites to the lake. Then......my most supportive lovable hubby says to me, you are working very hard and going to the lake and swimming is excersising while you are having fun and it will get you to your goals alot sooner. WoW, what a great idea, sometimes we just need to forget what we look like at the moment and envisoin our selves at the end of our journey. I just wanted to share with everyone, hoping it may inspire some of you all. I have gone swimming 3 times since his pep talk. Good Luck All.
thats great blue eyez..and i read another post recently that said everyone else is too busy worrying about how THEY look to be looking at us anyway lol...
It is important to focus on what we want to accomplish and often times we have those "lightbulb moments" when someone shares something that is sensible and practical-esapecially on Diettalk. I am going swimming at our town's outdoor pool tomorrow so you have perfect timing!

Well guess what me and Mrs Acey went swimming at the local pool when we were away at the weekend, because its away from home I thought who cares and it was twelve years since I went into the water, did not swim all the time done a lot of flexing and it felt great , the freeness the next day made it a must repeat, I forgot how good the pool can be and it is silly when we consider how much benefit there is especial on the joints etc , go for it if it helps our journey its worth it.

I have just started getting into the pool again myself! It took a lot of courage I can tell you! But once youre in there you all look the same! No one can see your shape or size when youre in the water which is great! To help me along I just imagine a picture of me at my ideal wight and swim towards it! lol :D

Your hubby made a GREAT point! :) Society is just awful on anyone over size ten and it's just not right. I say if someone doesn't like what they see, they should just look elsewhere and the rest of us shouldn't give one whit about the vain, super-egotistical idiots out there! (Wish it were as easy as it sounds, but one can work on it, eh!?!? :o )
