I have tried losing weight, and it just seems too hard, so I am going to my last resort, diet pills. I know these are not safe, but if they help me get the weight off, then I will take them. I am thinking about taking the new Stacker 2 Ephedra-free pills. Please send feedback........ Thanks....

I just read an article, I believe it was in my self magazine, that talked about over the counter weight loss medication and how the stuff in it is not tested!! Ephedria free or not, the stuff in that kind of medicine has not testing done and they have no clue if it is safe or not. My personl opinion would be to not use those. If you feel that you really want to use diet drugs, then go see you doctor for some. at least he can make sure you are healthy enough for them and watch you and you know that those have been tested. Just my opinion.

I agree with Mikey, if you feel the need to use the pills ask your doc, so they can monitor you carefully. I know it is very hard to lose, but this did not happen to us overnight so it is unfair to expect overnite results. Keep motivated, give yourself a BIG HUG because you can do this, we all can...........:cheer:

Life is hard.

Pills are not easy fixes and they can cause you more problems then being fat.

You got the rest of your life to get then. Therefore, with diet and exercise it can be done. Even if it is at .5 lb loss a wk.

I just started taking Apple Cider Vinegar tablets and they seem to be helping with overeating and wanting to snack too much and they are natural. You might want to give them a try.

IMHO, diet pills are basically just legalized speed. Most of them generally use caffeine (or similar) as a stimulant, quick energy, overrides appetite, weight is lost.

I lost ten pounds, back when I was 160 and wanted to be "thin" using Metabolife; yes it worked, yes I had no appetite, yes I had energy, yes I lost weight. And I went back to "life" and I gained that 10, PLUS some, soooooo quickly. The same thing happened to me when I used Phen-fen. Only I lost 20 or 25. Oh yeah, did I mention I gained IT back, as well?

Really, the only "quick fix" I have learned about is a quick attitude shift. It's all about having a lifestyle that will enable you to live healthy, for life. That includes all the foods you "should" eat (heavy emphasis on fruits, vegetables and "whole" foods) and MOVEMENT. Formalized exercise, raised activity level, whatever it takes.

I wish you luck!!

I agree with everyone else here. Dieting pills can be really harmful to your body. You should talk to a dr. about using them, but he/she will probably suggest that you take nutrition classes instead.

Dieting is not just about losing the weight; it's about changing your entire lifestyle. You can't expect to take pills for the rest of your life in order to maintain the weight loss. But if you learn how to be active and eat better, then you'll be a happier, healthier person overall.. :)

Good luck! :cheer:
