I don't know...maybe its been so long since I've had real pasta that I've forgotten what it tastes like. It is one of the foods I try to avoid...as a recovering anorexic, I call it a "scary" food, however, I have found a nice substitute...steamed veggies like string beans, broccoli, and carrots with marinara sauce. I think it tastes almost as good as pasta and is great if you are trying to get in more veggies or limit your starches. I also discovered today that peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are even better on toast...and peanut butter is a great way to get in protein and fat too which really isn't as bad for you as people tend to think according to my nutritionist. Try Spaghetti Squash. When I was low-carbing, many told me to try this and I did....not bad. Also, zuchinni in tomato, ricotta and topped with mozzarella cheese (part skim of course) baked is delicious too!

I like string beans and spaghetti squash best. Have you tried chopsuey? I discovered that one once in a Toronto Chinese restaurant: they had the sprouts mixed with angel hair. :)
