Jen:) joanne 12-16-05, 12:20 PM What is hoodia???? jenaboo24 12-16-05, 12:26 PM lol! It is suppose to be some kind of diet pill. It is "suppose" to work great! It says it is advertised all over the world. I never heard of it until recently. I just thought I would give it a try. Jen JoThrive 12-16-05, 01:08 PM There has been lots of information on TV news programs recently regarding Hoodia and how well it is supposed to work in controlling appetites. However it has not as yet been approved by the FDA. I have not used it nor do I plan to, but I will be very interested in what you think of it when you try it out, Jen. Please keep us posted. And keep smiling - jenaboo24 12-16-05, 04:26 PM I will definitely let you know how it works LadyWendy 12-16-05, 06:27 PM Hoddia comes from a cactus. The natives in Southern Africa from the Kalahari Desert region use to suck on the cucumbers from the cactus when they went on long hunting expeditions. It was suppose to ward of hunger and thirst to get them through their long hunting expeditions. I drink Hoodia tea sometimes - I like the taste, but it is expensive compared to other teas. Its suppose to help ward off hunger, but I find that any tea I drink does that LOL . At least to a point. Perhaps being that tea is hot, is sipped on, and puts something into your stomach, it gives you a feeling of satisfaction for a while. There is also hoodia capsules, most are mixed with green tea and other ingredients. Have never taken those so have no idea if they really help ward off hunger or not. joanne 12-16-05, 09:59 PM So it's another diet pill?? Hmmm.. Jena I would save that money and buy some healthy food instead.. In all honesty?? there is not one diet pill in the world (nor will they ever convince me there is) that will honestly help lose weight without the added side effects.. Believe me.. if diet pills did really work?? we wouldn't have so many different kinds in the world and everyone would be skinny... Sensible eating and exercise can do the same thing without added side effects.. sunshine31 12-19-05, 03:46 AM I am always wary of any of these diet pills, they never seem to work long term, and some of the side effects are not nice. Just be careful. |
