I have been thinking about joining Ediets.com and wondered if anyone had any feedback about it? Also, it appears they are running a special for $19.99 for a year? When I looked at it last week it was like 2.99 a week. Big difference:help:

I don't know about this year, but last year the Discovery National Body Challenge had a thing where, if you sign up you get a free 3-month subscription to eDiets, the full package, nothing restricted. I was really excited, as eDiets has always been touted as this amazing weight loss tool and I had wanted to join it before, just didn't have the money.

Well, I signed up. And I took a little questionarre. And they said that, based on my results, I needed an 1100 or 1200 calorie a day diet (can't remember which). Which is fine, but at the time I was breastfeeding and you can't go below 1800 if you're breastfeeding, or you'll stop producing milk. So I emailed them and explained the situation, and could they please change my calories? I searched high and low on that site and there was no way to do it myself.

I NEVER heard back from them. And the site, when I used it, didn't seem that great. I use slim-fast.com for menu planning--you can take the same quiz to determine your calories, but you can adjust it to your own specifications if you don't agree with their results. You can also choose not to have any Slim-Fast products included in your meal plan, you can replace items on the menu, you can define your own recipes/foods or look up nutritional info for food. They have weight charts, diaries, and calculators, and I believe they even have a community section (although I come here for my support :) ).

I don't think eDiets is worth it. Sure, you may have to use 2 sites (diettalk and slim-fast.com) but you can get the same results for free. And in my experience, the eDiets customer service is nonexistent, so if you do join I hope you never have a problem.

I tried E-diets, I didn't lose a pound, the shopping lists were just way too much food for me to do by myself, if I had a few friends doing it too where we could split up the shopping bill maybe i could have done it....

I joined ediets and I didn't like it there was no support because that was an extra you had to also pay for. The meal just weren't for me I like to pick what I want and you can change your menu but they are limited also as far as I was consered. I would not say it's not right for you or maybe someone else I just didn't feel I got my moneies worth.
