Hi Everyone !!!

I am attending Medical Weight Loss Clinic in Michigan , I am on the Very Low Calorie Diet Plan this week for 7 Days ., which consists of 4 Shakes and 2 Meals per day which consists of 1310 Calories per day , this is my second day and so far so good minus my huner pangs that really sucks , but I see the doctor on Jan 12. and hopefully I can get a prescribed
appetite suppresant to stop the pangs, let me tell you I have been on all the diets ,Medifast , Cambridge , ATKINS,LOW CARB , LOW CAL , NO SALT , 6 Week Body Makeover , Starvation,Merida (prescription ) just to name a few ,I am running out of options at this point and even considered Gastric Bypass so this attempt is my last .

I am 28 years old and weigh in at 249 , I am 5"5 and need to lose 100 lbs. to be the way I want to be .
I am currently working out at Ladies Express Workout which is similar to Curves , which I love they are very freindly and I love it being so fast paced , BUT all in all its all about wanting to do this mind ,body and soul as I am sure alot of you feel the same way .

I am staying motivated as I have to do this for 8 months , I am telling my self this is a way of life due to the fact I have to teach my self how to eat all over again which is very difficult when you are raised on fried foods ,starches and lots of sugar .
I am looking for a buddy or buddies that is in need of motivation as well as giving some when needed., I am on AOL for 8 hours a day screen name (reyv77) ., I sit in front of a computer all day I guess thats why I am so fat...hee hee , if any of you would like a buddy please let me know I would be glad to share any motivation that is needed for us to succeed with our new lifestyle .

Talk soon !
Laureen from Michigan .

It is good that you are going to a medical establishment to lose that much weight. I applaud you. My doctor has me go to a similar place.

The nasty and terrible hunger pangs will pass in 12-15 days. I promise. Your body really rebels when you start. It keeps wondering when this "temporary" calorie restriction is going to end, and sends out lots of powerful signals to your brain to let you know that it is not happy.

The worst part is the first 2-5 days too. That is when your energy is at it's lowest, you crave the strongest, etc. I don't prefer medications to curb the hunger pangs, myself. Some people use stuff, but I don't like it. What did I do?

I was ornery. Give your loved ones a warning that you are going to be moody for a couple of weeks.

I drink a little more coffee. I limit myself to two caffeine jolts a day. The best times are about an hour after breakfast, and about 3-4 in the afternoon. That is when I get sleepy, or feel like I am running out of gas. It also stimulates my brain.

I never, ever went more than 5 waking hours without something to eat. You want to keep your blood sugar from having big ups and downs. Big down-swings in blood sugar can trigger huge hunger pangs at the end of the day, and that is when you are most likely to go off the program.

Hope this helps. Hang in there!

Hi Laureen, Are you still out there?
I am on MWLC also in Michigan and am on the 1 meal a day with meds. I have done this program for years but this is the first time with medication. I haven't done too great the last couple weeks but believe I am back on track as I leave for Florida in 25 days!
If you're still out there, let me know! I recently received a response from another woman in MI who is also on the MWLC plan. Maybe we could get something going!
Take care!
