Hi Bowesy and welcome to Diettalk.
I don't know whether this is the problem but there is some confusion between the weight in your stats and the weight in your post. 10 stone would be 140 pounds, not 156 (which would be 11 stone 2). There's quite a big difference in these weights - do you know which one is correct?

could be muscle and a lot of jeans run different. I can wear a smaller size in some jeans and then in others they are so tight I cant breath.

I totally agree with jenaboo, jeans are cut so differently from pair to pair. Plus if you do exercise, your body shape will really change. When I used do do a lot of boxercise, I had to get rid of a lot of dresses and tops with tightly cut arms because my biceps grew so much!:dc
The main thing is to have clothes that flatter you and you feel great in, whatever your shape at the time. This will encourage you to respect and love your body and treat it well ie feed it nutritious food and give it exercise. If your jeans don't fit, give them to charity or a friend. Don't stress about minor temporary changes in weight if your other jeans show you aren't putting on weight! As long as it isn't a long-term trend (you're right to watch out for it though). You've just changed shape, probably for the better., if you're exercising regularly.
Great excuse for shopping for a new, even more fabulous pair! :D

You could be retaining a little water for a short time. Are you female? Premenstrual? Or you could be gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat, but is more toned. And more muscle means faster metbolism.
Don't let a short-term plateau deter your efforts. A person's weight will fluctuate a little as it adjusts to changes. I try not to weigh myself more than once per week, so as not to get discouraged at how slowly the numbers on the scale move. Hang in there. If you stick with it, you will lose weight again. I just takes time.

muscle weighs more than fat so you may just be gaining muscle with all that working out, and losing fat with all the cardio.
