I just ate a hersey Candy bar. Man do I feel guilty. Now I am discouraged over this. I wonder how to get back on this diet.

I know where your coming from I to am having a very hard time and feeling low about that fact I can't seem to get back on my diet either. Ever since the holidays I just can't seem to stop eating so what weight I have lost is starting to come back on. They say put the small miss hap behind you and don't dwell on what you did. But hard to do when everyday becomes a miss happ. Wish I had some words of wisdom to give you. I also hope more anwers you so I can to read what and how they go about the guilt and discouragment.

One chocolate bar is not going to do you in.. Just push the fact that it happened aside and move on.. We all have our slip ups.. and we've all survived :D .. So sweetie just get back onto your program and forget this ever happened.. If you feel that urge to eat something sweet again just grab a piece of fruit...Good luck with your program..

It happens to all of us. But can't let that stop you. You have to take it one day at a time, even one hour at a time. Don't let it bother you, just keep at it...I know,,easier said than done, but you can do it.

Hey- this is what i tell myself when i do a goof.... i think..wow...before i was watching what i eat.... i would eat a choc bar and think nothing of the calories, the fat... and how i could have eaten something better..and then i say to myself... WOW that's progress...at least now i'm AWARE..and that's important ..because next time i'll consider how i feel now and i a choc bar really worth beating myself up over? probably not....but everyone needs some choc in their life now and then! lol (i hope you at least enjoyed it!!!)

Don't let it discourage you. Studies have shown that we are our worst ememies. Often when we have something we shoudn't we than continue to go out of control for the entire day thinking that all is lost.

Instead we need to put it behind us and continue on. One chocolate bar is not going to ruin everything - its acutally only around 240 calories which in not that bad. Most of us are eating about 500 calories less a day than what we need to maintain weight so you would still have a deficit at the end of the day.

These comments have been encouraging. I am back on my diet but I din't have a lot of confidence that I could. Thanks for all the encouragement.

This sure is a great place to get help.
