Are there any diettalkers doing the SONOMA DIET plan? If so, what are your thoughts about it? Is it compared to the South Beach plan?

Is it compared to the South Beach plan? Athletea 04-26-06, 03:23 PM Joanna, I have the book and it's pretty much a healthy eating plan with wine allowed (not required), along the lines of Mediterranean eating somewhat South Beach-like, very health and delicious food. They take all the guesswork out of the planning ... the diet is in "Waves" ... one, two and three ... they are similar to South Beach, going from more strict to less strict. They teach you portion control and how to divide up your plate or bowl ... they tell you what size plate and bowl to use and you fill it according to their guidelines. There is (or was) a Sonoma support group on another popular diet forum that is known to many here. I haven't checked to see if it's still going strong or what their opinions are. IMO, the plan is worth a look ... they also have a website but I think it's pricey. JoAnnAtkinson 04-26-06, 05:03 PM Althea........thank you so much for taking your time explaining the Somona diet plan. :D Can you tell me what site has an active Somona diet plan message board? Diettalk does not have one going for this plan. You can PM Message me with that information, if you would??? Thank you! JoAnn in TEXAS |
