I'm not sure if this will help (but I hope so), but just treat every day with the excitement that you went through when you first started losing weight. I'm just starting this whole process, and I'm stoked! It's great to get on the scale and see that over the this week I actually lost weight. That's my motivation right now.

I joined a couple challenges on here. It is really keeping me motivated! Don't worry about starting one late, cause I started both of mine way later than most, but I don't care and neither do they!

I agree, find a few challenges you like, they can be motivating even if they have started.

I'm having a lot of trouble answering this one, for some reason. I agree with what everyone else is saying, but my primary motivator has always been "I'm just sick and tired of being that big, don't want to have any more fun activity limitations due to my weight, and never want to go back. Ever."

Beyond that, all of the other motivators have been short-term goals and accomplishments that I throw in front of myself to feel like I'm accomplishing something in the immediate sense. For me, that has been things like taking up a sport that I really like to do for its own sake (road bicycling), reaching mini goal weights, fitting into smaller chairs and stuff like that, looking half decent in clothes, and since I lost so much, just having the freedom to walk down the street and not feel like a social pariah (most of you don't have this one).

Find some activity or goal that promotes a healthy lifestyle, and reach for that instead of just the weight. That will keep it off longer. Take Care.

well, first thing I did was figure out some goals... not just weight loss goals, but life goals, keeping my house clean goals, etc. And Wrote out, why it was a benifit for me to do different things to achieve those goals. Then I created a point system for each thing on the list.. eg. if I go for a walk I get a point a day. And For myself I add all the points up at the end of the month... and each point is worth .50$ And so If I miss something I miss out on .50$ or whatever. I've never done so much in a day:) It's working so far. Figure out what you want... and go for it. as well there are some podcasts www.motivationtomove.com. check them out:D

good luck,
