I just went to the grocery store with my husband (today is Guy Fawke's Day and we're having a potluck/bonfire with friends so we needed to get ingredients for his bread pudding) and whilst we were there, he bought some Galaxy caramel filled chocolate bars. Now, understand that sweets are not my undoing. As we were in the checkout line, he broke off a piece of the bar and pushed it into my mouth. BLEAH! Don't get me wrong -- it was good as far as chocolate goes but I feel so blobby and gross now for eating chocolate and I'm not at all hungry!

On the up side, I feel so full that even my favourite food - POTATOES! - sounds horrible... and that may prove to be a very, very good thing! (For all of my fellow American friends, the big thing to eat on Guy Fawkes night is baked potatoes so I was kind of looking at tonight as the acid test for whether or not I'm truly committed to losing this weight!)

Oh man, you are going to have to have a talk with him!!!! He can't be shoving things into your mouth if you are trying to make some new healthy habits. He has to understand!!! LOL, next time just bite him, he will catch on soon enough then!!!!!!!!!!

Yanno what though? I'm thinking he may be on to something here... one, little, bitty piece of chocolate completely thwarted my craving for the almighty potato!! I wonder if this is a documented phenomenon! :D

LOL! Tonight he wanted to make a great, big, bread & butter pudding (delicious - but not good for you - English dessert). When I asked him to make a little one instead (I'm not opposed to having a serving; it's the middle of the night trips to the fridge and the "oh, wow, I've had three helpings while I've been online? How did THAT happen?" episodes I'm worried about), he looked at me like I'd told him it was horrible food!

Training my skinny husband to not keep hungry-man portions around the house for me is going to be a little tougher than I thought; I think he gets some sort of satisfaction out of me enjoying the food he cooks. I shall have to think of... other ways to express my appreciation for him. I'm sure I can think of something! ;)
