No, not the color beige exactly.

What I'm talking about ... and maybe some of you saw this ... was the other day on Discovery Health the UK based program, "I Eat 33,000 Calories Per Day."

It had four super morbidly obese persons that each have a serious food addiction, and the point of the show was to lay out how much food each consumes in one day on a table and "shock" them with it.

This one woman had a serious problem with fried and processed foods, and the commentator pointed out that most of the food she ate was beige - potato chips, french fries, fried chicken, fried noodles, etc. As he said, fruits and vegetables are colorful foods.

I just thought that was an interesting point, we are encouraged to eat as many different "colors" of fruits and veggies as possible. And I'm sure having a "colorful" plate in front of us helps with the enjoyment of the food as well.

If anyone else saw this show, I would appreciate knowing what you thought of it - helpful or insensitive?

P.S. "super morbidly obese" - I personally don't think it sounds like a very nice phrase, but that is the correct medical term.
