Hey everyone,

I feel like I have a new issue every week!

About a week and a half ago, I changed my diet to slightly more calories, and from processed foods (lean cusines, 100 cal packs, etc), to more nutritious foods (whole wheat bread, veggies, etc.).

And since then I have noticed my skin has been breaking out. I would think it would be looking better with these better foods.

Is this normal when you change your diet? Does it calm down? Anyone had this problem?

I drink 99 oz of water a day, take my vitamins, and am now eating better... any thoughts?

I have heard before that when you start eating better and drinking lots of water then you body can release toxins that might make you break out and usually does calm down after a time. I'm not sure if that is true or not. My face has been breaking out more here in the past year, but I think it may be stress related or the fact that we moved to a place with well water, ugh!

It's your body's way of reacting to the change. It's cleansing itself out so to speak. You'll have more breakouts for awhile and then it'll start getting better to the point where your skin looks better than it ever has pretty much.

For me when I changed my diet around last time (God that sounds so sad... heh) it took about 2 months for my skin to settle down and actually look better than it has since before I went into puberty

Have you introduced anything new into your diet..something that you were not doing before..or vitamins etc.?

Thanks for the advice everyone.

It seems to have settled down quite a bit this plast few days, and looks pretty good. I was thinking it maybe could've been the green tea???
