Go to Winsor pilates.com. Then start with the 20 minute pilates workout, and work your way up as you get stronger, to accelarated, ab sculpting or even bun and thigh videos. Vaire the tapes. Get on the treadmill an hour a day. Thats right, a full hour every day, no matter whst. And if you dont have a treadmill, take an hour power walk/jog. Your work out should take you an hour and a half, for the first too weeks, and then should go up to 2 hours a day, as you varie pilates tapes. I do ab sculpting and thigh and bun sculpting videos every day. Even if i do accelerated body sculpting, i will always do the bun and thigh video. SO after too weeks, switch to two videos a day, and an hour treadmill. As for dieting,

Breakfast:

Puffins Natural Peanut butter Cereal or other lowfat cereals. Try Alpen Organic cereal, it is so filling it will fill you up for 4 hours.

Lunch:

Fruits, Cup of fat free yogart.

Dinner:

Veggie salad, no dressings or oils. Small portains of home cooked meals.

If you get hungry inbetween, try an apple, or half a cup of grapes. Keep your fruits portained too. DOnt eat when not hungry, and drink only water. No carbonated drinks or fruit juice. That is just un needed fat and calories. Drink water with meals and with out, 8 glasses a day, if you can.

You will lose 3 lbs a week, guaranteed, as long as you dont get off the diet. Even if you stray away and eat a candy bar, and eat a whopper or something one day of the week, you will still get results, just less than 3 pounds probubly 2 1/2.

Eating out is great, if you do it right. Go to Chickan Kitchen, or Toojays. Toojays veggitarian items taste amazing and are healty and low fat. Pita sandwiches, grilled chickan platters, veggie pita pockets, wraps and salads, Toojays is my 1# choice for great taste for dieters.
Chickan kitchen gives you grilled chickan, for when you dont want to cook at home. Even if you get burger king or mcdonalds, just get a salad, with grilled chickan, no dressing. Lowfat dressings arent good either.

Be consistant, and use sunday as a rest day w/o exerciseing if needed. Happy Dieting!

Cathy, there's no way on God's green earth that you will be able to have the energy to do the workout you suggest on the amount of food you recommend.

Also, you can't guarantee a weight loss of 3 lbs a week. For one thing, weight loss is relative to a persons beginning weight. A 300 lb person might. A 165 lb person won't.

And of course, the question also is, 3 lbs of what? I think people around here generally understand the fact that it's fat you want to lose. And if you do the math, it's impossible to lose more than 1 1/2 to 2 lbs of fat a week, for the simple fact that a 2 lb loss of fat represents a negative calorie balance in the range of 7000 calories.

There is no underlying theme to your diet. You don't say on what basis you have chosen the food.

The two most effective ways of dieting are:

1. Calorie Counting
2. Low Density

Calorie counting has been a standard way of losing weight for years, and has outlasted almost every fad diet invented.

The Density Diet (http://www.ewas.co.uk/diet) is the newest, most talked about diet, being a way of choosing healthy, low calorie food without the need for calorie counting.

Either option would be preferable to the approach you have outlined.

ive been loosing between 5 and 6lbs a week for a month. been eating less than 1000 cals a day n walking loads. there are no fad diets that work correctly. just basically cut your calories and increase your exercise.

Eating less than 1000 calories a day can slow down your metabolism big time and is not healthy. Nor is it healthy to lose more than 1-2 pounds a week. Fad diets like this one are dangerous. Where is the protein, complex carbs, dairy? Another idea doomed to failure.

A pound a week is great. Slow and steady wins the race, or in this case teaches us to eat healthy and maintain our weight loss.

I have a problem with all the fad diets out there and like bertha saids you need your carbs, protein, fats & friut/veggies for the day. I am doing a thing called the 3-hr diet and it covers alll these bases and has a set amout of calories of 1450 for the day. But what I am finding is that it is more of a way to train yourself to eat health then it is a diet. Because it lets you eat everything you normally would eat but teaches you to eat it in the right amounts.
