Hello... I am new here. I just joined tonight. I'm 22 years old, I weigh 260 pounds, I want to lose weight and feel better about myself. I want to look better, I want to BE better. I NEED to be better. :( I have been eating healthy for a while now, but, rarely find the time or strength to exercise. I am currently envolved in three job endeavors and any free time I get is usually spent online to keep in touch with friends or sleeping.
I LOVE working out when I can!! I do 30 minutes of cardio and spend a little over an hour on the weight machines. I try not to step on the scale much, because I realize that muscle weighs more than fat, but muscle doesn't take up as much space, so I'll see inch loss before I see weight-loss.
I just need some support or SOMETHING. I always get on the wagon and then fall off after a short time. Can anyone help?? Can anyone be there?? :( I
HI  & :welcome:
You have come to a great site for support :)
Maybe consider starting a journal, where you can keep track of what you are doing and also creates a place other members can drop by and support you :D

Hi need2be! We are all struggling as well, so feel free to jump on the wagon with us, maybe we can help pull you back on when you need a little oomph. I certainly need it every day, it is a neverending challenge.
You work a lot of jobs, the stress must be hard to deal with, I can barely control my eating when I'm dealing with my one job. But I've seen a few studies now that show even if you work out for just 5 minutes at a time throughout the day, it all adds up to be the same as if you did it all at one time. So no need to go for 30 minutes or an hour at a time. Just take a few minutes every hour or two and do something for yourself! It sounds like you could use a little TLC for yourself!
HI need2be, I admire you, at least you are starting. Me, I just don't commit. I will start out great and then fall off the wagon and stay off the wagon. Since the beginning of the year I get at least 4-5 days of 30 mins or more on my gazelle or work out with WATP tapes. My eating is nowhere in control. My biggest problem is at home. At work I am in control but at home, whew!! since I got married I HAVE GAINED!!!! I guess it probably because I am comfortable around my husband, but I definitely didn't want to gain. The nutritionist at my job says I need to eat around 1400 cal per day and do at least 60 mins of exercise daily. My brain says, "that's doable, but my body says no way. I pray that everything works out for you. I know I will reach mine, at least that is what I will start telling my self.

I have the same problem, I got my work eating under control but have a hard time at home. I live with my fairly recently married brother & his wife, and it is like I got married too. They eat so terribly and I have a hard time resisting when the whole house smells like greasy buttery fried food and they are just gorging and smiling...
But it finally helped that they are now wanting to lose their "marriage weight" (like baby weight, but without the baby) and are into preparing healthier (or rather, slightly less greasy) foods for dinner. Although I still have the constant temptation with the bags of chips and M&Ms and chocolate chip cookie dough and ice cream that they keep on hand...
