I have had times where I didn't lose anything for two months, but generally, it has been a slow steady loss. Over this past winter, I only lost 12 pounds, but gained a tremendous amount of muscle and lost a lot of fat from my hips, thighs and stomach. I was riding my airdyne schwinn stationary bike every day.

I live in Montana and no matter how much I love walking outdoors, the windy Winters are too much for me. So this is what I did. You know what? I didn't even realize I had any positive results until the weather started to get warmer and I was wearing more summery clothes. All WInter, I just kept thinking, keep this activity up. You'll lose weight sometime. You have to. But it was discouraging when the scale was not moving. I just kept on keeping on and it really paid off.

Alyssa, thank you for asking.

If I can help anyone with motivation, I will surely try my best. This has literally been the hardest thing I've ever done and I will never allow myself to live that awful lifestyle again. It has changed me so much.

WOw, I could write for hours on this, the struggles the successes. It has transformed me from depressed and self-pitying to someone who is happy, strong, and confident about the future and I want to do so many things. Next summer I am going to inner tube down the Missouri River. Woohoo. I want to walk in a 25 mile marathon for MS. I'm so excited about all life has to offer now that I can participate in it.

Again, thank you for asking.

Affectionately, Nichole
