Why is it that we can be so successful in some parts of our lives, yet struggle with our weight? If we could just get rid of that devil sitting on our shoulder, all would be well. Or would it? Join Renee this week and learn how to avoid the mistakes of Spain's Francisco Franco and Astronaut Lisa Nowak, and instead turn the devil on your shoulder into your advocate. Discover what causes yo-yo dieting and how you can break that cycle, for good. What an amazing episode! Here, the reasons why our bodies make us yo-yo diet is an eye-opener.. It isn't willpower, it isn't about not being motivated enough..

The part that keeps me fat is playing tug of war with the rest of me and will until there isn't a reason to be fat. Until I deal with that reason, I will always have struggles.. and will return to being fat again..

One needs to find the "positive intent" of staying fat and we are introduced to a technique to find it. I eat to calm myself.. I have known that for 2-3 years now.. Well.. why do I eat to calm myself? It was because I lacked time to do anything else.. it was to actually slow down and be at peace for a wee while.. but also so that I don't have to deal with my emotions. I have some crap I need to deal with but have been stuffing them down with food for years now.

What a great episode!

There are things I learned tonight that I will try to incorporate into my own weight-loss plan.

I eat because I like to eat.

The part that keeps me fat are all of my limiting beliefs. They have been very successful. But by relaxing and visualizing my goal this journey has been light, pleasurable and easy. By releasing my limiting beliefs I am able to release the weight as well.
