LeahElizabeth 12-04-02, 12:51 AM Ahhh, to be back at diet talk. I am back for good. I miss my old loser buddies, and hope they are all doing super. I
In the time that I have been here, off and on, at my little home away from home, diet Talk, I am now 26 lbs lighter. I have just recently started Atkins and besides a few yucky days and adjusting to this I am doing pretty good and lost 2 more lbs. Here is where I will come to check in with myself and write what ever the heck I want.
Here is where I will be held accountable and tell all the scandalous secrets about my diet! :o :laugh:
So stay tuned! This may get exciting!!! :yawn:

Breakfast: Atkins choch Peanut bar (just couldnt do without:( )
Lunch char grilled chicken salad with blue cheese
snack: Beef Jerkey, and oh no do I have to put it down???...ANOTHER chocho peanut atkins bar.
Dinner- steak
Feeling, pretty good although a little shaky this evening
I have gone from 198-194 so far since I came back to DT. Did two days on Atkins, screwed up on Turkey day, now have continued on Atkins for 6 days. Betetr be burning that fat
Problem areas: I think I better stop weighing myself every day
I think I better start exercising more
Am I drinking my water??? Rest room is getting tired of seeing me, so Yes.

Just thought I'd let you know, I seen an infomertial the other day. They were saying that taking coral calcium while on the Atkins diet, enhances the results.
Just thought I'd mention it seeing you are on that program.

I felt pretty poorly last night and this morning. I felt very anxious and my body felt weighed down. Maybe PMS but I was thinking maybe I needed some vitamins, so I took some. I was determined to exercises anyhow last night, so I did
10 min walk at 2.5
10 min floor exercise.
My muscles were burning at this slow rate of walking and I felt very exerted. Usually I can go between 2.7 and 3.2 for 45 min or so. I dont know what the problem is. Is it the change in my diet? Lack of vities? I will have to experiment. I am going to go and exercise after I am done here on DT
Breakfast 2 hard boiled eggs
Lunch Chicken salad (cooked a bunch so I will be eating this like mad).
Snacks: 2 carb solutions 0 carb almond chocolate bars, 1 piece of string cheese.
Dinner, Dont know yet, I think steak as I was going to have that last night but had chicken instead-not very hungry right now.
water-I need to drink a bunch-didn't drink good today since I was out and about on business.
Thoughts to ponder:Did you know that when people use X for Christmas, like X-Mas, the X originated from the Greek word Chi for Christ. Heard it on the radio today. Interesting

LeahElizabeth 12-06-02, 05:38 PM Its Friday! It is cold and rainy today and I love it! I felt super today! I ate a few extra carbs last night 11 to be exact because I was feeling so poorly, but I dont think I went over my limit even with that.
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs
Lunch: Chicken salad with blue cheese (of course)
Snacks: not one but 3 0 carb chocolate bars :tomato: (Boy I can tell its getting to be that time of the month):o
DInner: Steak because I was going to have it the last two nights but ate leftover chicken instead-Oh last night I had chicken stirfry

I started my diet on low fat and lost-43 and was at a standstill that I couldnt over ride so I decided to go low carb. Started low carb Nov. 12 and I was wore out feeling too for the first week or so but after that I feel great, but once in awhile my bloodsugar, drops and I have to get something to bring it back up but I can feel it coming on and can usually head it off. I try for 20-30 total carbs for a day. Maybe you ought to up yours a bit to get some energy back.
You are doing great on losing, looks like low carbs is working for you so far.

Laura, I feel the sugar drop as well sometimes... mornings especially. Yesterday, I had a few grapes in the morning and felt instantly better.
Weds:
Breakfast: Hard boiled eggs
Lunch: Left over pot roast meat/salad
Dinner: Steak and snow crab (Hubbys and mine 4th anniversary!)
Thursday:
Breakfast: 2 Hard boiled eggs
Lunch: Left over steak/salad
Dinner: Fish
Friday:
Breakfast Atkins bar
Lunch: Fish, salad
Dinner: Steak
snack: microwavable pork rinds
Saturday:
Breakfast: motz cheese stick, tbs peanut butter, 3 grapes
Lunch: Half chicken sandwich
Dinner: 2 slices of ham and 1 motz cheese stick

Have enjoyed reading your journal. Looks alike you are doing good. I am trying to restrict carbs, but more specifically, I am not doing flour, sugar and bread. And you know, after a few days, I didn't EVEN crave bread. I can't even believe that myself.
Keep up the good work!! Becareful not to be eating too little. . .your metabolism will just freeze up and keep you right there forever and ever!
LeahElizabeth 12-15-02, 11:58 AM Thanks Mexico Lady, I think you are right about eating too little. This way of eating has acted as such a strong appetite suppresant for me that I find myself here in my third week only eating when my body starts feeling bad because I am not craving foods, yet I have not seen a weight loss this week yet. I think I need to start including some snacks too.
