This is my first journal online and I'm not sure what infomation is surpose to be written, but here goes:tongue:
Today, the beginning of a New Year (2003), I woke up this morning with a brand new outlook about my weightloss journey! I don't want to just be on a diet to lose weight anymore, which I do have to lose and I am still trying to. I am going to go through refrig & cabinets throwing out unhealthy foods and replacing them with health food choices. My menu's are going to rotate around health foods. I'm going to research on foods that are healthy and unhealthy,(any advice here would be helpful!) I am going to exercise, exercise, exercise(which I started this morning) daily, if possible. Stay active(doing everything the hard way, park at the very end of parking area & walk, climb stairs instead riding elevador) I will stay within my Weight Watcher point range.(Not sure about banking points, need to research this) I'm going to try to eat the amount of calories, fiber, carb, protein, etc., that I need to eat everyday for a healthy lifestyle. So far today, I've did great! I'm exercising, getting those veggies, drinking my water, trying to get it all in. Fixing to fix me 100% fruit juice being I'm out of fruit and haven't been to the store this week. I'm going to make a grocery list full of enriched Healthy Foods!! I'm Happy, Motivated and Ready for Success on my Journey!!!

This is my second day of journaling and the start of a brand new year. Today, I did good! (pat myself on the back) I followed my plan. I have to lay out a plan or I go wacko.LOL! I ate lots & lots of veggies. Anyway more then I normally eat and that's good. I'm going to the local fruit stand and load down with veggies & fruits tomorrow. Those are my plans right now anyway. Would love to get out in my brothers garden and pick me some of his turnips! Think he'll let me? Oh yea, I had to take Mom to McDonalds today for lunch & I was s-o-o-o good! I didn't stop by a fast food and get me anything. I came home at a 1/2 cup of Chicken Noodle Soup & a Big Bowl of Salad! YES!!! YES!!! YES!!! She ate in the truck & I had to smell that food. I had to really work on my discipline. I had a thin grilled pork chop, baked potato & another Big Bowl of Salad for dinner. ( Hum, I wonder if pork chops is a okay food for dieting as long as it's grilled or baked?) I got my water in for today, drunk a total of 72 ounces. For exercise, I rode my exercise bike for 60 minutes & did (ouch!!!)hard, hard Aerobics for 30 minutes. A total of 90 minutes of exercise today. With 65 minutes yesterday, that makes a Total of 155 minutes so far this month. So, I feel really good how my day today has gone!!! I'm improving!!!

Love & Hugs to All

Woke up this morning with every intentions of doing everything right, oh yea. But did I??? Hum! First thing I did was grab my little ole cup of coffee and plop down in front of computer for a diettalk rundown, you know see who's posted & what all's been posted since I've last been here. Then daughter wanted me to babysit grandkids while she went shopping. My little grandson got the computer:( I guess, I'll clean house and do some washing. Got the house clean & washing started, when my son called and needed me to come pick him up and run him about 5 minutes up the road. Mom it will only take 5-10 minutes he promises. Yea, right! When I get there, oh yes, he forgot to mention, uh huh, that he needed money too. I ask him, what was he going to do for me, buy my supper next weekend? Listen to this!!! He said Mom you're the parent, I'm not:D Where did we go wrong? LOL!!! What started out to be a 5-10 minute trip took about 2 hours, the little he said it would cost, was about twice as much. Boy!! What a day!! I never made it to the fruit stand today for my fruit and veggies, needless to say, didn't get in my exercise. I did stay within my points, drunk my water & am writing in my journal like I promised myself I'd do. Everyone went out for seafood tonight. My first trip to the buffet was a BIG salad, which killed my hunger for so much of the seafood. I ate very little of it as a matter of fact. That was real good! I love seafood and Friday nights have been my weakness in my diet...It is getting time for me to go nite, nite, so I'll end this journal for today.

~Goodnight All!~

Today is Saturday and the weekends are usually wacko around here and hard to keep up with myself, much less my points, writing down EVERY bite, writing in my journal, getting my exercise, etc...But hey, I DID IT!!!! At least I think I've done it all..
On top of all this, I got FAMOUS for a day:D I had a recipe put in the "Diettalk" newsletter! Like to have jumped out of my chair and knocked off my computer. LOL(kidding) But it did make me feel good! "WW Chicken Sloppy Joes". I jumped up on my little scales looking to have lost a pound or two. I didn't lose any, but I said to myself, I know there's a difference in me this week, so I went and got Hubby's measuring tape. WOW! I was amazed! Here were my results: Nov30th-Jan4th.
~Measurements~
11/30 1/4
14.3 inches 13.7 inches (Neck)
35.3 inches 34 inches(Waist)
40.3 inches 36.6 inches(Tummy)
43.3 inches 40 inches (Hip)
24 inches 22.6 inches(Thighs)

All my exercise is paying off in measurements!!!

Hello Linda and thanks for posting in my journal.
I too am on ww points. some days is hard while other days are easier.
i also ride an exercise bike too.
you are doing very well with the exercise and counting points. i, myself like the program cuz if i dont have a structured plan of displine layed out for me i go "wacko" too with the eating.
I dont bank points though some do. i use one day usually on weekend to eat what i want without counting points. but to each her own.
it just helps me have something to look forward too. hopefully down the road i wont even need to do that.
well have a good day and looking forward to knowing you better too.

Minnie,
I'm so glad you came for a visit! It's encouraging to see others posting and cheering me on in here..Keeps my blood pumping to keep on keeping on, on My Weight Loss Journey! John really got me to thinking about "banking" points..When I replied by explaining that I banked my points, he asking "What have I learned by banking?" I haven't asked what he thought about it, but I tried to think what he could be asking and I said to myself, if I use these exercise points for food, I'm just eating back what I've burned off. Still not sure about this. I'm going to have to do more research on it, I guess... :-/
I agree with you about the reward day! I've thought about following the Wendie's plan w/Weight Watchers, where you get to have 1 high point day.
Well, so glad you stopped in, please don't let it be your last visit...Come back again sometime!!!

Hi Linda - just wanted to say you are doing great! I see you are on ww - and have lost 11 pounds. Congratulations! How long have you been on the program? I feel like I am floundering around - can't decide on a program. I like the idea of ww because there are no forbidden foods - but I hate the idea of paying money to a group to tell me what I already know!!

Anyway - I won't take up more of your journal space. Hope to get to know you better.

Hi LindaH  - I think you are doing :super:

This is whole new way of eating and a new way of thinking about food for you - so you need to give yourself some time to adjust to it before it becomes a habit.

You said you did not exercise yet - go kick your son on the but - that count's as exercise ;)

Just teasing - I have an "adult" child too - note the word CHILD - never changes lol

Hey Linda,
Saw you posting on Jade's journal and decided to stop by.
Sounds like you are doing a great job. Love the snack of the icecream...can definately understand why it is a weakness. I had to get it out of my house totally because I could go crazy. You should be commended for keeping it to two bites....way to stay in control!

Will check back later,

Sherri, I've been on my weight loss journey since Nov.30 of this year. I'm following the "Weight Watcher" plan without the pay plan. They closed out our meetings close by, so I depend on helpful info & great weightwatcher web sites. I find this works just as good as the meetings, with our support group here. Hopes this helps you out..:)

Hey Jade, You must have read an earlier post about exercising. I have found I will get nowhere without those pushups, situps,etc...Gotta stay active to make progress!!!:lift: Would you believe I got in 80 minutes today??? Now that's good for lil ole me!!!

I was looking at your menus for the last couple of days, keeping in mind that you told me not to let my body go into starvation mode. Having said that, are you getting enough calories? (Just asking) :o

Hello Linda,

I want to thank you for visiting my journal and introducing yourself. I'm very sorry it has taken me longer than I planned to visit with you. For some reason, my 3-D life seems to get in the way of my Diettalk life.........LOL.

You seem to know exactly what you want, and how to go about getting it, and that's really good. You are doing great with your exercise program, and you can be proud of how well you seem to manage your water intake too. I struggle with that every day. Lately I've been doing quite well with it, but I know the days will come when I start struggling again. I sure hope not though.

Well, I wanted to stop in and say hello and wish you well in your weight loss journey. I wish you great success. I'll check back with later and see how you are progressing.

Keep smiling.............:)

I am so glad you dropped in for a visit! Here, I thought I was in my journal pretty much by my lonely lil ole self.LOL Just kidding!!! Luv to have visitors!!!!!!!

Julie,
About your neighbours,LOL, I've had those moments too...It can be a pain! Thank you for coming to see me here and I most definetly will be back to visit you again!!

Minnie,
Thank you for being such a warm hearted person, including us all in your friendship. You are a sweet lady! I find that exercise motivates me also, gets my blood pumping & my energy level up to began a day afresh.

Sherri,
LOL, girl you have caught me red handed. Here's my excuse, I kind of pigged out over the weekend w/o exercise, so I cut back on my calories & upped my exercise(or trying to) for a couple of days. Doesn't sound like such a good excuse, does it???hehehe

Jade,
Thanks for words of motivation! Hope you have a lot of success on your journey as well!!!

Sandie,
Thanks for stopping in and posting to let me know you've been here! I have started diets and got off, until I decided this time, if I started I AM GOING TO SUCCEED! I try to keep myself thinking postive and being motivated even on my worst days, when I just can't resist, like weekends..As for my water, it's getting better, but this is something I have to force myself to drink alot of..Good Luck on your weight loss journey & your water intake!!! Hope to see you again real soon...

Today I got up and around kind of late for me,didn't sleep to good last night. I hate it when I get up late, it feels like I don't have enough time in the day to get anything done. I drunk 3 cups of coffee to try to wake up. Today is Wednesday, so I have church tonight and I'm going to try to work everything I wanted to do today in somewhere. I talked to Mom on the phone and she is sounding lonely, so I guess I will go out to lunch with her today. She could do it everyday, but I've got where I turn her down, telling her I just can't. I didn't go with her last week any. I don't want her feeling forsaken, she's my heart:sweety: The lonliness isn't from not having any hobbies, this woman can go more then I can. Her house & yard looks like it should be showed in Southern Living or Better Homes & Garden. It is so beautiful the way she has & works to keep everything until, I envy her. She just loves being with her children alot!!! She doesn't just want to sit at her or my house and chat. She wants to get out and go. Mostly sit in my truck, have lunch & talk. I did get her to go walking with me about 30 minutes. So I walked with Mom & spent time with her today instead of girlfriends..Enjoyed it really...
My Day:

Breakfast:
3 c. black coffee

Water: 72 ozs.

Lunch:

1/2 c. WW Harty Hamburger Soup
2 small buttermilk biscuits, bad girl :whip:

I know I'm a little late, but I wanted to wait until I had time to read your entire journal. You're doing a great job! :)

My WW leader (I go to the at-work program) told me that if I don't get any exercise, eat at the low end of my range; if I do exercise, eat at the high end. The reason for this is because someone who weighs 150 pounder could do the same amount of exercise as me (239) and I would earn 8 points where she would only earn 3. Not fair! And then there's the question of intensity. Too hard to judge. I could be panting and huffing, but the 150 pounds might not be. That seems to work for me.

I have a couple of suggestions, not that I'm an expert...

1) Eat protein at every meal. That will keep you from getting hungry longer, and especially at breakfast, it will jump-start your metabolism sooner in the day.

2) Up your protein and reduce your carbs. That will help you burn faster too, especially with all the exercise!

4) I don't see a lot of milk products? I may have missed it, but it has been proven that milk consumption speeds up weight loss. They're not sure why yet, but I make sure I get my milk!

3) STOP EATING YOUR HUBBY'S ICE CREAM!! LOL Can you get a frozen yogurt in a flavor you like? 1/2 a cup has 4 points, I can't imagine what regular has!

4) Try www.FitDay.com to log your food and make sure you're getting the proper servings per day. I use a version of www.DietPower.com that was free, but I bought. That tells you how many carbs and protein you are getting. Great program!

Your baked/broiled pork chop is just fine. It's the "other" white meat, after all! As long as you're trimming off the fat.

You are doing great, though! I'm glad you found DT. I started with the Weight Commander, too. Neat program! But I switched to the Diet Power program.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! Me or someone else. We've all been there, and have learned a lot along the way.

Good luck!

Jade

Hey Julie,
My Mom is a very active woman. She is 69 years old and can out work me in a heartbeat. She loves going out, just the two of us everyday for lunch. I don't mind the lunch together(luv it) but it's mainly sit in truck at fast foods & it's hindering my weight loss. Any solutions for me???LOL:D She would get offended if I took my own food, have already tried that. We don't have that many places to choose from around here.

Hi Stacey:wave:
I'm glad you have decided to come by for a visit! WOW! At the good advice you offer! I'll try to remember to up the proteins & down the carbs. Do I have it right?? I just started dieting & I'm learning everyday and welcome any good advice anyone offers. You didn't see much milk, except in my cereal and sharing hubby's ice cream(if that counts?) I'm just not much of a milk drinker. But since you have given me good advice, I have tried to drink a little. Maybe I need a calcium supplement. How much mg. would you think a 5'5", 156 pound, 43 year old woman would need??? Do you have any idea? I don't. Thanks for sharing those good websites! Girl, you've been helpful to me! Thank you!!!

Jade girlfriend,
I also am a Nana with 3 grandbabies. Isn't it wonderful being a Grandparent???:) My daughter has 2 boys and a little girl. Which they all are spoiled by Nana & Pa. My Mom adores them. She will go and get them to spent hours with her & Dad(he's 73 years old) They have them a playhouse under a canopy, riding toys, had a pile of dirt hauled just for them to play cars in. So you can see they are spoiled by the grandparents. hehehe!!!

Hi Ruthie,
I had a fun time with Mom! We went out to eat 2 days in a roll. I ate real light. And guess what? I got Mom to walk 2 days with me and she's going to try to lose weight with me, she said starting next week. Maybe then instead of going out, her and I can try out new healthy recipes. I'm going to see if we can go this route. I would love to do this with her!:x She is such a sweetheart!!!

Talk to all you guys later and thanks for stopping in. I have been out of town for a few days and as soon as I recopy my home journal for the missing days in here, I'm on my way to visit you guys again....Have a great weight loss journey!!!!!!!!

Got up this morning preparing for an out of town trip. I have to run several errands, pack clothes & such for the trip. I grabbed me a cup of coffee & a cup of grapes, checked my e-mail and posted to let my diettalk friends know I would be out of town. I wanted to post more then I have gotten to. Just not enough time in a day when ones rushing & rushing. I worked time in just for walking an hour and Mom walked with me & my girlfriends. I was worried she would overdo it, but she did GREAT, although I did slow down some and stay alittle behind the other for her. But she walked as long as we did!! I have been calling making sure she's okay and she keeps telling me she's fine. I had to go pay some bills before we left. I picked Mom up and took her with me. We stopped at McD's and I got a flatbread sandwich, which is proberbly horriblely fatting. I just didn't want another McGrill Chicken. She said she was going to miss me over the weekend. Isn't that s-o-o sweet???:rose: I am just s-o-o blessed with the Mom I have! I came back from bill paying & took Mom home, washed my truck, got grandbabies awhile and played with them before I leave. I'm taking the little girl to spend awhile with my sister. Her husband has had brain cancer, which is in remission. He can't work and he adores my grandbaby. She seems to be the light at the end of a tunnel, he thrills to tend and feel to be needed by her, so we all try to make sure he gets to be with her a good bit. She can pick and spark him back up when nothing else can. And she's CRAZY over him as well. She seems to know that he needs her, there's a bond between those two..Kind of brings tears to your eyes to watch them...Anyway here's the menu & exercise for today:

Breakfast:
1 cup Seedless White Grapes
1 cup black coffee

Today is Friday and here I am staying at Red Roof Inn. We went by my sister & brother-in-laws last night, stayed awhile and left our little grandaughter. She was a doll on the trip! I brought her some Chex snack mix for the trip. Her Pa got into them and she seen him. She wouldn't have it until I let her hold the bag. She didn't want Pa getting her snack.LOL She is 1-1/2 years old and so smart! We rode down to the local Waffle house for breakfast and ran into another sister & her hubby that lives our way. hahaha! What a small world! We didn't know they were here & they didn't know we were. Yet out of all places, we ended up at the same Waffle House! What a surprise for us both!!! Hubby & I left waffle house and went to the Municipal Park to walk around the lake. A beautiful place! There's alot of wild ducks there. We went shopping afterwards & then back to my sisters to visit and take them out to supper. About 6:30 p.m. my sister and brother-inlaw was getting ready to go out with us and I all of a sudden started feeling nausea, heart beating fast, feeling faint w/gray spots in front of my eyes, difficulty breathing, a heaviness in my chest, kind of scared me. I didn't want to ruin our evening. I've looked to get away for awhile, so I tried to fight it off. My hubby noticed, I guess, because he was talking and smiling and when he looked at me the smile came off his face. I just sensed that he knew. This is about the 3rd or 4th time in 3 weeks. I just thought I needed to get away for awhile. We all went out to Golden Correl, the smell of food was making it worse. I was s-o-o nausea! Sharp stinging pains in my chest started while we were there & I began to have difficulty breathing again. I didn't think I was going to make it out of there to get to a hospital. I started to tell them to call an ambulance. We had to leave my sister & brother-in-law there and rush to the hospital. When I got there & they checked me, my oxygen was down, blood pressure was up alittle(they said because of the pain), I had a little fever. They put oxygen on me for a little while and run all kinds of test, they couldn't find the problem. They gave me a shot for pain & nausea and sent me back to hotel about 4a.m. Saturday morning. My nurse told me to please follow up with my doctor to see what's going on, because something definetly is. The shots help the pain & nausea. I have chills & real weak afterwards. I am ready to find out what it is. This has hit me about 4 times in 3 weeks....
Anyways here's my menus & exercises for today:

Breakfast:
3 cups black coffee
1/2 waffle
1 scrambled egg
1/2 tsp margarine
1 T. syrup

Lunch:
1 soft taco w/1pkg. mild sauce
1 small unsweet tea

Dinner:
none(sick)

Water:
54 ozs.

Exercise:
45 minutes fast walking

Saturday
Our trip is cut short because of me and I had looked forward to this outing for s-o-o long. Ugh!!! What a mess up! I'm not up to do anything today and it would just be wasted time because hubby won't go on without me and just leave me at hotel. He is so sweet! I'm blessed!!! I'm just worried about messing up his first weekend get-a-way since July. Bless his heart! We got to bed about 4a.m. this morning. I forgot to mention the 2 cups of coffee I had at my sisters yesterday evening before I got sick. That should have been in yesterday's menus. Hubby went downstairs, got us some coffee & woke me to see how I felt. I drunk 1 cup of coffee w/him, showered, got our stuff together. We went back to Waffle House for breakfast. We went by Wal-Mart, I got out there, but had to go back and sit in truck, was just to weak to shop. He went to a couple of places while I sit in the truck. I wanted him so bad to go to all the places he had planned on going. I didn't want to hinder him from enjoying himself, but I think we both were give out after an all nightier at hosptial. We decided to come on home earlier then planned. We went out to eat with Mom & Dad when we got home. The smell of food started making me nausea again and I couldn't eat but a tiny bit.
My menus & exercise for today:

Breakfast:
1/2 waffle
1 scambled egg
1/2 tsp. margarine
1 T. syrup
3 cups black coffee
1 small milk (Stacey, I remembered:D

Water:
not enough to even count

Lunch:
none

Snack:
ice cream cone(mcD's)

Dinner:
1/4 cup cole slaw
1/4 cup cheese grits
4 crackers
1 glass unsweet tea

Snack:
1/2 cup Chocolate Chip Ice Cream:o

Everything else is tasting horrible!!! Excuses, excuses:whip:

Sunday

I got up kind of late after a tired out weekend and had to rush to get ready for church on time. I'm still moving in slow mode. Hubby is beginning to think it's my diet. I told him to please not to try to start discourging me. He has been s-o-o supportive. He says he's scared this is what's making me sick at times. Maybe I need to stop and check out my eating habits and what I'm missing out on and getting to much of. I know there is a healthy balance. I'm just to geared up to quit completely. Although, I do want this diet to be healthy and not get me down. I gotta do some research here! I'm going to try to check out the proteins and carbs Stacey mentioned. We went to Sunday School this morning. After church we went to Pizza Hut, as usual. This is where alot of our church members go to eat Sunday Lunch. I ate a pretty good lunch. I'm still not feeling up to exercise yet. I'm still kind of weak, but I'm climbing back up. It is only 5p.m. and today is not over. I'm just writing what I've done so far today, will proberbly finish today's later on.
Menus so far:

Breakfast:
2 cups coffee

Lunch:
2 slices Taco Pizza
1 T, pizza sauce (to dip pizza in)
1/2 cup chicken pasta
2 glasses unsweet tea

Water:
12 ozs.

Snack:
1/2 cup Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Hello Linda,

sorry you havent been feeling well.
my stomach sometimes acts up real bad and sometimes its when i mix foods. like i'll do good on the plan and eat healthy then i jump and have bad foods and i get sick.

hope you find out whats troubling you.

as for eating out with your mom every day that sounds like a great bond. i would choose lower cal things like the shaker salads with low cal dressing or the grilled chicken or the flatbread,fajitas,soup.....

if you have diners nearby that would be even better. i work at a burger king and we have baked potatoes too.

well hang in there and take care.

Hello Linda ~

I stopped in to say hello and see how you are getting on, and I read you are having medical emergencies. I do hope that you have every intention of seeing a Doctor, and as soon as possible. Whatever is going on, is far from normal, and needs to be further looked into. You know, right now it could be something that is easily taken care of. But by neglecting it, it can become something that is not so easily cared for. Please don't put it off any longer. It didn't sound good to me.

I'm glad you had a fairly pleasant weekend with family and loved ones. It's always good to be in such loving and caring company.

Take care now, and have a good week. Call that doctor soon as possible.

Hugz,
Sandie

Minnie & Sandie,
Thank you guys for being such great friends and being concerned for my welfare! That means a bunch!!!:gflower: You guys are swell!

Minnie,
I have already found out I have IBS, so I have to be careful about fried foods and such. I don't eat much fried foods and I try to watch eating spicy foods, although I love Taco Bell:D Gotta lay off this more, I guess. Most of my meats are broiled, baked or grilled. That's why it's always McD's McGrilled Chicken when Mom & I go to McD's, but that i-s-s getting old. Got to find more foods to choose from.hehe! Can you get soup at Burger King???? That sounds okay....

Sandie,
You are s-o-o sweet! I know this isn't normal and it can be quite scary. I am planning on seeing if the doctor can find out what is going on w/me. The E.R. couldn't find it. I wonder if it could be my dieting. Maybe there's something I'm not doing right. I just hope they can find it and treat whatever it is. Thanks for stopping in and checking on me! Will visit you very shortly! Take care!

Thank both of you, my newfound friends, for being concerned about me!:spring: Hugs,:spring:

Just came in to check on you and noticed you havn't been feeling well. Please, get to the Dr. soon and find out what is going on. You keep a really good log of what you are eating so I am sure he will be able to evaluate it and see if you are lacking in any areas. Hope you are feeling well soon.

Hey Julie,
I did what you said I should do and called my doc. It will be the 27th before she can see me for she is pretty booked up. Hopefully, I won't have any more attacks before then. I thought about going to the local Tri Medical Center where they'll see you almost the day you call. What'a ya think?? Think I should or just wait on appointment with my doc??? My old doctor retired, that I've had since age 5. I've not been to a doctor since then, even though I told this lady I know, that I was going to start using her and that's who my appointment is with. A young doc took my docs place and they have him down as my doc, even though I haven't been to him. HUM!!! I'm not sure these young docs has all the skills they need, or experience rather. You know I've used this one doctor all my life and it is so hard to trust another one. Just me :blah: The young one may be more educated in medical skills, who knows????? Thanks for giving me that push, girl:coach: :doc:

Linda,

I'm glad you're feeling a little better. If you've had this 3 times in 4 weeks, it may be a good idea to get in to see someone before the 27th....just a suggestion. It's always better to be safe when it comes to your health.

Yes, I do have a journal. It's called "Watch out World". I would post a link, but I have no idea how. Any clues????

Well, talk to you soon.

Hi Linda.

I love your journal - sounds like you have a wonderful family - most people don't know how important that is, but you obviously do. :)

Sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well. I know the feeling about going to a new doctor. I need to find a new doctor as well, and am having this debate with myself - older and more experienced or younder and perhaps more familiar with newer methods, etc. I used to like the younger, good looking ones, but find myself thinking a women may suit me better now. Wonder if that means I am getting old. LOL.

Take care of yourself - and my thought is that it wouldn't hurt to go to the medical centre now, and to your doctor later. A couple opinions can't hurt, and seeing a doctor now may help.

Hugs,

Sherri

Heck, it's hard to say if you should keep the one on the 27th or go sooner....I am leaning toward keeping the 27th so that way they have a history where as if you go to a walkin or something other than your regular dr then your regular dr does not have anything in the files about it. You mentioned that you are able to tell the signs in advance before it gets too bothersome....be aware of that and call if it starts right away and don't wait. But that is IMO and you should always do what you think is best for your own situation. Just keep in mind what you would be doing if it was your children or grandchildren.......

Jade

I would go to the place that could see me the fastest! Then transfer their findings, tests etc. over to the Dr. you are to be seeing on the 27th. My opinion only - better safe then sorry....

Hey Guys,
I'm so glad I've joined diettalk! I have the most loving, warmhearted and caring friends here! You guys are the greatest!!! I had to go to my dentist today for a cleaning and I explained to her what was going on and would you believe what she told me?? They had done some work on my teeth about a month back and when they gave me the shot. I told them something was happening, I felt faint and my face felt real hot. This happen the last two times I've went, never has happened before. She told me today that it could have been the shots she had given me that is causing my problem, it has something in it, that sqeezes your muscles tight so it will stay numb where they are working. She wrote in down and wants me to go show my doctor & then my dentist wants to see me again the day after I see my doctor. She wants my doctor to call her. HUM! I would never have connected the two & still not sure.

~Hi Badelle,
Thanks for caring! About your journal, I have no idea how to link. Is it in diettalk?? If so, I think I've been by for a visit. Hehe, at least I thought it was yours!:D

~Hello Sherri,
How right you are, girlfriend! To me family is first and foremost! Everything else in life can just hold on until I get the time. I have my family only once, and if something ever happens I want to know I have spent my time with them, and that there are no crosses or ill feelings. Life is just to short for all this stuff! I want to live my life to the fulliness. Thank you girl for being concern for my health!!

~Hey Julie,
You are a wonderful friend and you make a good coach.hahaha If I get to hurting any worse I will most definetly go ER, if I can't see doc! I did get in more exercise today, then the last few days and that's good. Thanks for being there, girl!!!!!

~Jade,
How right you are and what I started to do today until I seen my dentist. Hopefully, I will have answers soon. If I get to hurting before seeing doc, ER make headway......Thanks for caring!

I got up this morning about 8:15a.m. and only because the ringing of the phone woke me up. It was Mom calling wishing me a good morning. Hubby loves to pick on me when I sleep late, for he is an early, early riser. Jumped up, turned on coffee, gotta have that java to start my day. I drunk me a couple of cups while checking my e-mail. You wouldn't believe the e-mail that come just overnight! I deleted the spam mail and read the rest. Got up cleaned house, went and picked up Mom to go walking with one of my girlfriends. I came back home and got my grandboys to play with until they had to go home for lunch. After lunch I went to the dentist, back to Mom's for her and I to walk a little longer. Came back home and played on computer until hubby came home. We ate supper together, sit around and talked awhile. I then rode my bike some, while he worked on the bedroom he's remodeling. Now I'm back on the computer, instead of exercising some more like I could be doing! hahahahaha

Great job on the 2,000 minutes for the month.

well even though my man is an early riser he usually doesnt bother me if im sleeping but the kids make enough noise to wake me up so it never fails.

but on weekends i beg him to sleep in cuz he always complains of being tired but never sleeps in. he tries to take a nap during the day when kids are running around making noise and its impossible.

well keep up the good work and take care. thanks for all the support in my journal,. it means alot to me.

But hopefully that's behind me and I can move on along now.....I love the exercise, it makes me feel refreshed each day! I'm fixing to get with some and go walking right now.

I know today I have spurged a little on my eating. Hubby thinks I am eating to little of something. In other words he says there's a balance and he don't think I'm getting it. He thinks that's been my problem. Hummm! So, I'm testing out my new Doc's theory. He has been very supportive with my weight loss journey, but as a loving, caring man, he's a little worried about me. I'm blessed with such a man!!!
I had an old scanner that wouldn't work, so I go buy myself a new one, because I wanted to post a picture here, where everyone could put a face with lil ole me when I chat with them, and now I can't even get this scanner to scan. I guess, I just don't know what I'm doing with these scanners, and the directions says IT'S EASY! Maybe I need to go get my four year old grandson to figure it out.LOL

Linda,

Snow? You want snow??? I got 2 1/2 feet over the weekend, and another foot Wednesday night. TAKE ALL YOU WANT!! We even made the national news!! Oswego, New York...that's right next to me. We got like 5 inches an hour. YUCK!! This California girl don't like that much snow!! LOL

Congrats on the skirt! Such a good feeling. You're doing very well, you should be very proud of yourself!

I just read through your journal. It sounds like you might be missing something in your diet, or not eating enough. Are you taking a daily multi-vitamin? That's very important. Once again, I have to say watch your protein. If I don't get enough, I get faint, ears plug up, vision gets "funny", weird feeling. I hope you get into your doctor soon. The fact that you're writing down all of your food will be a great help to them.

About the calcium, I don't know how much you should take. If you don't like milk, there are other options, yogurt and cheese come to mind.

Please be careful!

Have a great weekend!!

YOU GO GIRL! I can't wait until I am down a size....still fittin into the damn 20's....I would have thought after 29 lbs that would have changed but I hasn't yet....maybe the next time I go shopping (which doesn't happen often because it bumms me out) I will have skipped the 18's and gone directly to the 16's....wishful thinking huh.

Well, gonna keep up the cising...my belly is one of my biggest problems (the hind end is the other but I don't want to talk about that lol) I am feeling a difference in the way I am carrying myself since I have been working out again. Even though it has only been 2 days (But I will give myself a week since I have been rearranging furniture) I have noticed that I am actually getting some stomach muscles back! Yippee!

Well, Keep up the good work my friend!

Julie

Instead of McDonalds how about packing lunches for both of you and having a picnic? Maybe taking a stroll in the park? Or go to a Subway or sub sandwhich type of place. Just ideas for you and your mother :) Good luck!

Hey Linda -

Congrats on the new skirt, that's amazing! I've hesitated to buy new clothes yet, I guess because I'm not seeing my old ones get too loose. I did try on one of my older 18/20 tops today and it fit, even wore it to work this morning and felt great.

Have a great evening, and drink more :water: :whip:

~Stacey,
I'm taking a one-a-day vitamin supplement w/calcium, iron & zinc added. Maybe, I'm not getting enough protein or calcium. I need to hunt more foods for protein and add more dairy products to my daily diet. I need to preplan each day to get all these in and with my rushed days, I just don't do that. Maybe this is my whole problem. Thanks for caring enough to bring my rush eatings to my attention. Now for me to just do something about it. I AM going to try! This is going to be one of my goals, that I get in all the right kinds of foods each day....Uh, so you don't like snow that much:D

~Julie(Red)
Friend, you stop that making fun of yourself! Bad girl:whip: You are doing good on your journey. If scales show no lost, try your measuring tape each month....Good job on those stomach muscles!!! Just keep moving that furniture, then come move mine, next Julie's,etc.....LOL

~Betty,
Hi girl!!!! Where have you been???? I have been missing you!!:(
Done tried for a picnic, cook foods or salads at our homes, and very limited eating places. Mom wants to get away from home for awhile and just go. B-U-T, I'm working on it! I've finally got her into walking until we have got where we go out only 2-3 days a week and I try to work this into my weight loss and order the lowest sandwich points. She is really getting into this daily walking get-a-way that she will eat her a little something most days before we go. So, I'm working on her! Soon, hopefully, I'll have her on this weight loss journey with me!!

~Julie, Julie,,
What are we going to do about you and your whips:D You go, girl on those downsize tops! That is progress!!!! About WATER, well, maybe we need to talk about that.LOL I'm a trying girl, I'm a trying! I use to could drink it with no problem, but you know with the cold weather moving in and all,,we want those hot drinks, like coffee ~o) Won't that work????LOL

No Linda dear, Mork and Mindy sound SILLY but I'm betting the kitties are so it might fit. Did you look at the site, they had lots of good suggestions?

Good for you for 64oz!!! But I would not be doing my job as :coach: if I didn't point out that the day is not over yet. Can you get in more? I have to admit that I left my water bottle at home today so had to resort to cups of water. It is incredibly difficult to drink cup by cup by cup! I had no idea! Can you try a bottle of water if you are doing cups? It will make a big difference, just because you won't be running in two different directions at once. I won't forget my water bottle again!

~Hi Minnie,
Girlfriend, I try to stay away from Pizza Hut;) But that is where all gather for Sunday Lunch and I love being with people and having a good time..I told my pastor, I ate to much because he kept us to long and by this time, I was starving! I couldn't drink my water in church either, that helps to curb some of my hunger.LOL Well, I had to blame someone for eating all that pizza.hahaha!!!

~Julie,
Coach, you are good!!! My daily reminder! I need this, girlfriend! Sorry, but I got in the same amount of water today...I decided today I was going to 20oz. bottles and see if this would help..Anything that works! Girl, have you took a GOOD look at this web site??? hahahahaha, I think Mork and Mindy sounds a lot more reasonable then Stop and Go, Up and Down, In and Out, should I go on???LOL

I got up today to one phone call after another and a house full with only three extra's here. BOYS! Go figure.LOL My 21 year old came by for the evening and I already had my two grandsons. The little darlings are 2 and 4 years old. And of course the two still unnamed kittens! The first part of my day, I got in my exercise and going on with my plan, all lined out, you know how it is...Here comes daughter dropping off the two babies, she has errands to run..They are being s-o-o good, playing on the computer and with kittens. I'm getting my work for the day done. Everything is going good, the boys are not to rowdy or loud..Pretty quite actually..Knock on the door, now who could that be? It's my son,,hum,,why did he knock?? He said, he just wanted to see if it was safe to come in. Now why wouldn't it be safe?? What is going on here? He's acting sneaky and all funny like. Well, I dared to ask him, what's up? He says nothing much, just getting married and need the field and barn behind the house, we're getting married there, Western Style. I said, MARRIED??? Since when? Aren't you surpose to kind of ask if you can use the barn and field? By this time the grandbabies came running and jumping up on their Uncle, he's tickling them, they are hollering, he's hollering, I'm hollering trying to talk about this. They took off running to show him the kittens. Then here they come back through, the kittens(that's not surpose to be out of their room), grandsons being chased by my son. I try to talk again, but get run over, with a yell sorry, not seeing if I broke an arm, leg or even worse maybe my neck. Back down the hall, here comes son running back with gransons & kittens(would you believe it?) chasing him. By this time, I'm starting an early supper, so everyone can have a nice supper and maybe we can talk then. This doesn't stop them from sliding through kitchen! Almost decided to say alright that's it, I'm outta here whether they heard me or not! But poor hubby that hadn't got home wouldn't have a nice meal when he came in after a hard days work, so I just kept:D and cooking...Supper time, didn't get to talk, because everyone else was talking about everything, but what I wanted to talk about...So after supper, I throwed my son the dish towel and told him to come dry dishes, while I washed and talk to his Mom awhile. He gave me back my dish towel, kissed me on the cheek and said sorry Mom but I've got to go pick up my girlfriend...We'll talk soon I promise! Yeah, when?? After he's done got married??? S-o-o-o how was everyone elses day???????

~Hi Maximum,
Thanks for your kind and warm words! How right you are dear! I'm about ready to tie my son to the table and say NOW TALK.LOL All the encouragement from my dear friends here keep me exercises and trying to drink my water....

~Darlene,
Thanks for stopping by and saying hi! You are s-o-o right! Alot of days is a mad house here. I'm lucky to get through with the chores I've started before it's time to start over...All in a day's work, I guess...

~Hey Ruthie,
Fun??? Hum!!! LOL Although there is alot of work involved alot and it seems like I'm running all the time almost, there is a lot of laughter with the grandkids. They live next door and stay here more then they stay home, I think. But Paw and Nana love them greatly! They keep us feeling younger!!! Wore out, but younger.LOL

~Minnie my dear,
Does all this running count for exercise??? Gee, I think it should! Day's I don't get my exercise in the mornings, I am exhausted before I ever start exercising..I'm constantly asking myself, how can someone that runs all the time be overweight any??? Why won't this weight come off just by all this daily normal running???LOL

~JULIE friend,
Where's that whip??? Do you mean my coach thinks I did good on water today????LOL You come on over girl and eat any time! This is one of my main problems, I LOVE COOKING and making up dishes. Okay Julie, my son better not even think about NOT inviting me! He better get on over here and talk to his lil ole Mom if he wants to stay in my good graces.LOL

~Hey Lisa,
So glad you came by to say hi! So your house stays in a uproar too??? You know, I think the 21 year old is louder then the 2 and 4 year old..You think we should vote on the loudest of these age differences and find out what others think???LOL Looking forward to a great friendship!!!

~ChinaDoll,
Thanks for coming by and saying hello! Hope you have a wonderful day!!!!!!!

I got up this morning wanting grits, eggs & toast. But I've tried a different approach to try to lose a little more then a pound every two or three weeks like I've been doing lately. I decided for two weeks to try the Special K cereal diet. I know this ice cream everyday is not included in the diet and probarbly is hindering in me losing even more on this diet..But when hubby brings it out every night, nothing else looks as good, not even anything I make ahead..
Okay, you are wanting to hear more about son's upcoming wedding??? Well, you've heard it! I haven't heard from him today and can't find him anywhere! My grandkids have even disappeared for the day from next door!!! I think they are all conspiring against me!LOL8-|
This is my menu, water and exercise for today:

Breakfast:
1 orange
1 cup Special K cereal
1/2 cup Skim milk
2 cups black coffee

Water: 60ozs.

Lunch:
1 apple
1 cup Special K cereal
1/2 cup skim milk
water

Okay, I blew it! Was going to make hubby a homemade pizza!!!
Dinner:
3 slices, pepperoni
20 baked fries
1 glass sweet tea w/1 tsp. sugar

Snack:
1/2 cup Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Exercise:

Alright now missy... you best start lifting that water bottle. I don't mind 80oz, but 60oz is pushing it. I expect improvements, remember the goal is 96oz. :whip: :coach: :water:

You can still have the ice cream, just substitute it for lowfat/lowcal varieties. I know they aren't as much fun but every little bit helps. Healthy Choice has some really good ones. At least your portions are small, I would NOT have the willpower.

Better luck tomorrow with your water, I'll be watching! ;)

Brrrrr, who said I like winter??? It's about 20* and feels like 10*degrees! Goodness me, I'm ready for spring! Give me green trees and green grass and warm sunny days anytime..I guess, you guys can see I'm not use to the North icy weather that's been sent our way...I like to grab me a cup of java early in the morning and go sit on my porch swing on nice days and watch the birds & squirrels before anyone else is stirring,,but on these freezing days, I can't...Give me snow or bring back my pleasantly cool days...LOL
I've finally talked to my son today! He and his girlfriend hasn't set a date yet, but they are serious about getting married. He wasn't picking with me. Thankfully, I don't think it's going to be a rush job..My son asked reckon 3 months would be enough time for everyone to prepare for the wedding. He wants it to be just right. He asked his girlfriend and she said she didn't want to rush things because she wanted to be able to always remember her wedding day. His Dad told him to give everyone six months, gee, I think he was picking, but I think they took him seriously and told him they'd talk about and get back with him...He's got to get all the stuff away from the barn, clean up around it, plant grass in the pasture to look extra good, things like this...Son and girlfriend are leaving tomorrow going to Maryland to meet some more of her people. S-o-o thats the scoop on this news for now. Stay tuned for more.......LOL

Brrrrrrrrr,Good gracious alive, will someone please turn that air-conditioner off.LOL I don't remember ever having weather this cold here in the South. I don't even own a thick coat. I've never needed one until now. I need to go coat shopping and soon! The temp. early this morning was 6* degrees. Wind chill below 0*. Cold, cold weather here in the South. I know one thing, I'll feel more for those up North when it comes those hard freezes from now on.LOL Knowing me and myself, I thought if I'd just let it warm up just a little I could get out and walk. I love the walking part of exercise, more then anything else. So about 11a.m. I but on my thin coat and off I went,,okay I was freezing, but I figured I'd start warming up if I kept walking. I walked my walk to the end of a dirt road, about a mile to a mile and half. By the time I returned home, I couldn't hardly open my front door. My heater was pumping out the heat, but I had to crawl up cover and it took me almost the rest of the day to feel like I was thawing out some. Now remember I wasn't bundled up, just my little thin wind breaker like jacket. I'm going to hunt the thickest coat I can fine, clothes, hat and all.....Hubby got all over me when I told him what I had did.:o Never, never go out in weather like this without the proper clothing!
Okay the way my meals, water and exercise has went for today:

Breakfast:
1 cup Special K cereal
1/2 cup 2% milk
2 cups black coffee

Water: 64+ozs.

Lunch:
1 cup Special K cereal
1/2 cup 2% milk
1 apple
water

Dinner:
2 fried chicken strips
1 baked potato
1 tsp. margarine
2 Tbsps. honey mustard
2 small store bought rolls
1/4 cup cole slaw
1 glass unsweet tea

Exercise:
35 minutes fast walking

Actually, I have a large front porch all the way across the front of my house and a swing at both ends and my back porch is half way across, an added on bathroom takes up the other half.
Boy, am I envying you right about now! 72* degrees?? Maybe I ought to pay you a visit! (smiles)

~Jade Sweetie,
Know that my prayers are going out to you! I hope you have a speedy recovery and the door to that job you want so bad stays open until you are recovered enough to take it...:rose:

Linda:

Yeap your hubby is right NEVER NEVER go out in that kind of weather without being properly dressed. It was minus 17 here yesterday and with the wind chill factor about minus 25. I have learned a few things since going out as a letter carrier. Dress in layers, you can always take something off if your too hot :) Another trick I learned was to take vaseline and dab a bit in your hands and then warm it up and apply a thin layer to your face. It prevents your face from being frost bit. And always carry an extra pair of mitts inside your coat that way you always have a warm pair to change when your hands start freezing. You probably will never have to worry about that as you wouldn't be out that long but for me it was invauable information:) Congrats on going out there though that's real determination girl:D
Hope you have a wonderfull weekend.

Hi Linda H thanks for posting in my journal. And this advice is coming from a nurse see a doctor at the earliest chance you have. What's wrong with a second opinion. On the 27th don't even tell the doctor you seen someone else until after she diagnose what you have. take care.

See you lighter

Hey there Linda ~

Wow, you really have taken the bull by the horns and given him a ride for his money, eh? I can't believe you actually went out in such cold weather with so light a jacket and nothing else! What WERE you thinking? Even if you ran the entire time, you would not get warm enough. No wonder you were forever warming up again. The cold got right down deep into your bones, no doubt.

Other than that, you are doing really well with your food and water intake. And the exercise is doing good also. I'm really proud of you lady. WTG!!!!

Just wanted to stop in and say hello. Hope you are having a great weekend.

keep smiling .................... :)

Linda,

So sorry it has taken me this long to get to your journal.

Sounds like you are doing just great, besides being a little cold. And I can say 'little' cold because we are very cold here. Even we don't like it.

Thanks for your encouragement. I am getting so inspired reading journals. I need to get here more often.

Keep up the great work. :gflower:

Hi Linda!

Thanks for stopping by my journal. I really appreciated it. I haven't been around too much lately - probably because I cannot seem to get myself into a good diet/exercise routine. And I think you are likely right about the water - I don't drink nearly enough. I think I need a water whipper as well - LOL.

I heard about the Special K diet and was thinking about doing a modified version - substituting the cereals that I eat for the Special K - or do you think Special K is the magic ingredient?. I just love cereal. How are you doing on it?

We have been having cold weather here as well. 22 below with the windchill for the last week or more. Brrr! Judy is right - dress in layers - but make sure that they are not too tight. It's the air that gets trapped between the layers that helps keep you warm. And if you wear gloves, make sure they are not too tight either - I like mitts better. And as far as keeping warm inside the house, I like cuddling with DH the best!!

Have a great day Linda. :)

Hugs

:D Gosh Linda, Looky you getting all frisky with excersice! I can not believe how horrible the weather has been for everybody. It was warm here yesterday actually not warm HOT we had to turn our a/c on in the van, AND I slept in a thin sundress no covers, with the windows open cause it was so warm. Go figure. I feel sily for saying this. BUT I WANT COLD weather. I mean it is winter, and I like wearing CLOTHES to cover up. Ok, I'm going to BLOW real hard so this weather spreads to you.....

Gosh I would love a house with a porch. Maybe someday! Course what are the Bugs like there? I know in Georgia you can't hardly go out during the summer without some DEET on.

I ws thinking of the SPECIAL K diet too, How are you feeling on it? I already eat for breakfast the one with the berries. And then of course Cheerios came out with one with Strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, Which Is DELISH!

Hey Linda!

Sorry it's taken me so long to get back to your journal, my computer died and I've been pouting too much to use Rick's. I'm trying to get caught up now...
Now it's really good for you that you got out to walk, but bad girl for doing it in such cold weather!! You really need to invest in some exercise tapes, you'll get sick trying to exercise in the frigid air. If you can't find some Leslie Sansone tapes, send me a PM. I'll be checking back to be sure you do.

Hi LindaH

They say that during the winter and when you walk in the cold you actually burn more calories.. but.. you do need to wear at least a couple of sweat shirts.. sweat pants,, turtleneck sweater.. and many many other layers.. LOL

Don't catch a cold.. ok..

You are doing great.. happy to hear that.. and keep exercising.. and walking.. and you will achieve your goal..

Thanks for visiting my journal and for the prayers.. please keep them coming WE ARE EXPECTING A MIRACLE..

Hey To My Friends and Motivators!! What a thrill to come in my journal and see all of you cheering me on!!!!!!! You are GREAT!

~Hi Betty.
Yes, girl! Where have you been?LOL You get out those tapes or that walk in the fresh air and get that exercise in girlfriend! Hut 1,2,3,4! We are doing great! Can't wait to visit your journal and view your minutes!!!LOL

~Judy,
Friend, Hubby couldn't agree with you more! Thanks for your good tips for this freezing icy weather. Hope on your mail routes, you dress extra warm and you get those walking minutes in! Maybe I should walk and deliver mail.LOL Sounds like your exercise is in before you ever get off of work! WOW!!!

~Linda dear,
Thanks you for being concerned about my health! I went to my new doctor today. (Monday) I had been keeping a journal of my attacks, my symtoms & what I was doing when they hit me. She said the journal has really helped. She is thinking it is one of two things, a high hernia or acid reflux,,,but I'm surpose to go in the hospital as an out patient and have what I call a higher GI (she called it something else) done on the 5th of Feb. You are awake and swallow this tube w/a light on the end. I am so scared! It is probarbly going to be painful or choke me. I am almost backing out,,why can't they put me to sleep where I don't know anything? Girl, I am scared silly!!!!!

~Okay Sandie,
I did take the bull by the horns, but he like to have got the better of me!!!LOL I thought I was going to never warm up. I felt kind of like icy feelings at times even though I was under an electric throw..Girl, I deserve this lecture from you, Judy and hubby!LOL I know it's something I'll never do again...Thanks for caring girl!!!!!

~Hi Crazy,
Hope you get warm weather your way soon! Until you do stay warm and dry!!! I'm like you, looking forward to the spring or just our regular winter weather here.LOL

~Sherri girl,
Don't you dare quit one me! I need you girlfriend!!!!! We can do this! I kind of got off whack over the weekend because hubby had about his once a month weekend off and I made the best with it and kind of forgot my diet. But I'm getting back on track! You and I can win this war girl!!! We are can-do-girls and don't you forget that!!!!!! Looking forward to visiting your journal and seeing you full of motivation!!!!! I've got to start the Special K diet over, I went off of it...

~Hey Minnie,
Don't work to hard at work today! Have a super happy day!!!!

~Ahh Max,
Wanna trade??? Sleeping with your window open? That's life! I use to love to have my bed beside a window, have it open and look out the window at night until I fell asleep. Bugs in the summer can get quite bad...I LOVE MY FRONT PORCH GIRLFRIEND!!! Instead of my back yard, I'm fixing my flower garden from the front to the side of my house, where I can see the birds, and such from my porch and kitchen window.....

~Hey Julie,
I've been missing you! (pout) Rick wouldn't share? Is your computer up and running good now??? Hear this, I went to Wal-Mart for some small exercise items and I found this little wheel. You know you get on your hands and knees and roll back and forth? Well, hubby got to laughing & told me if I got that, he'd end up getting called from work to come pick me up off the floor. He said I'd go down and wouldn't be able to come back up. haha I told him we would have a contest, who could do more without staying down, the other one would have to wait hand and foot on them for a week. Needless to say, we came off without getting that little wheel...LOL

~Hi Jusducky,
You are so right about all the layer of clothing! I sure felt like they would have helped me out that day...Dear, I am still praying for you and I do care! Keep me in touch!!! Hope your day today is a little happier!!!!

~Have a Happy, Happy Day All!!!!!!

Hubby is off for his once a month weekend and I plan to make the most of it!! He started off my morning by bringing me coffee in bed. Bless his heart! If I had of woke up before him, I would have brought it to him instead, he works so hard..Being over men, he can't get every weekend off like others do. He took me out to breakfast this morning and then we went out of town to hunt a new bedroom suite for our newly remodeled bedroom. We just shopped around kind of deciding just what we do want. We went to so many different places shopping for all kinds of different things and came home with really much of nothing.LOL
It was getting later on over in the evening and I was getting worried I wasn't going to get my walking in..Funny guy that hubby is went down this Country Road and pulled off beside the highway and here we go, someone stops to see if we're broke down and crazy here, says no I just can't get my wife to go back and get in the truck, they looked at me & then him with the I know what's going on and how you feel look and told him good luck, laughed and drove off..fighting huh, you made them think we were fighting, I told him. Little innocent man acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. Duh!!! I let this one slide. Well, we went to Wal-Mart. I got through with my shopping and was looking for him in the auto section of the store. I seen this aisle that had things to wash your vehicle on, so I stopped to find some dry cloths. A guy that worked there came up to me & asked if he could help me. I told him no I was just looking, he smiled and said just looking huh? And what are you just looking for? I told him nothing really and I left and went down the next aisle, not knowing hubby was on it. He was just a laughing, put his finger over my lip and said shhh. Now, I knew he was up to something, but I was willing to play along. He started acting like he was hitting on me, asking me out to dinner, I said no thanks, coffee, no thanks,,he said come on now, I'm trying to get to know you..The guy from Wal-Mart that I thought was long gone, stepped around the aisle and told hubby he thinks the lady said no and the lady was with him. Oh Hubby goes on and on saying man I'm sorry, I thought she was available. I was so embrassed! After hubby left this guy asked if the man was bothering me and he asked was I really available and I told him no, I really was not! I got out of there and went and found hubby, I was s-o-o upset! He was almost crying from laughing and I was getting good and upset. He said wait baby before you go getting all mad on me, I was just trying to help you feel good about yourself and make you relize how good you was looking. He said that man was coming on to you and you didn't even see it, so I had to help you out. Well, that calmed me down right there! I said he was, wasn't he?? I can tell you I held my head up a little higher the rest of the night. To make up for embrassing me so much today he took me out to a real nice resturant called The Mockingbird Grill after the famous book "To Kill A Mockingbird." Then we came home, built a fire outside and he got out his guitar and him and I sung a few songs. A beautiful ending to a wonderful, wonderful day!!!!!!

Went shopping today to hunt a housewarming party gift. A girl I know had a burnout, they went in, remodeled her house, so she is having to start all over...I also had the doctors appointment today with my new doctor, so I've been sitting in the doctors office pretty much hours on end for the day. She told me she thought my problem may be a high hernia or acid reflux. She wants me to go Feb. 5th, Wednesday in the hospital as an out patient for a EGD. Now, I'm scared silly! Me awake swallowing a tube with a light...I'm almost backing out and have decided to just suffer with whatever the problem is..I am just picturing the pain or choking while this thing is hung in my throat! I honestly don't know if I can do this. A girlfriend told me her friend had it done and it was one of the most painful things she's went through...Please someone tell me what it's like???? I'm scared!!:help:

Okay, I got up this morning not feeling any better about this EGD test they are going to do on me, if I don't back out first..I have to go get groceries and I'm not even in the mood to do that. I haven't been on the computer much, so I'm running behind in my posts. Got to get to eveyones journals! And I haven't even been studying my diet, so today showed a two pound gain. Bad girl!:whip: I've got to get it together!!! Mom called and wanted to know if I was going to walk today, so I went for her, just not in the mood. She ask me why I didn't go yesterday...Because I'm a scared cat!:( But, I'm not going to let Mom know this! I'm showing her a brave girl...After Mom and I walked I felt a little better and went to the grocery store. Hubby didn't get in before time for the housewarming
