hey wes, positive self talk is soooo important..everytime you think something negative, turn it around with 5 positives..

as far as nite time eating, are you eating enough during the day? do you eat breakfast and lunch and a couple of snacks? i find scheduling my eating really helps..i do breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, snack..when the final snack is eaten..thats IT...looking foward to hearing about your progress...what are your plans?

Wes - If I'm understanding you correctly you're having trouble with how you view yourself. Trust me and everyone here when they tell you that you are worth it and that you will feel so much better once you start to lose!

Just four months ago I was at 271 and tonight I weighed in at 227. I don't ever want to weight that much again and so that's my motivation - past success. The more you succeed the more desire you will have to do better and in the process the better you will feel about yourself.

I know you can do it, I just hope that you will allow yourself do it. Good luck. :)

If you get a night time craving to eat everything, then make yourself some plain unbuttered unsalted un-everything popcorn. And eat away. You'll get sick of eating before you eat 'too' much.

And eat vegetables. It'll replace the ones you should have eaten in the day.

You'll need to learn that even though your body craves food, you are in control, not your body, and that if you take control, you have the power to tell your body what it wants.

And if you eat the right things you can eat as much as you want! If you're hungry at night be sure what you have in the house is healthy and snack away!

if your craving, it could be that your not getting the nutrition you need during the day. Try adding more fruits and veggies into your diet. Once I did that, I stoped craving.

Also, cravings can be emotional too.
