View Full Version : One More Year
vtmom13 01-06-03, 11:49 PM Boy did I ever screw up the last 2 weeks :( I sure didn't take me nearly as long to put the weight back on as it took to get it off. Well I'm done with that. The boys are back in school and I am back on track. Wish me luck and please give me support...I'm going to need it.
I went did my thing at Curves. I do a full three times around the circle. It feels so good while I working out.

You are doing great! Still need more calories though (not a problem *I* have!!! <LOL>
I had my first official day "on track" for the new year. I am more than ready to go. Gosh, I even walked two miles!
I looked up cross country skiing for my area...the nearest place is over an hour away. Still might try it!
vtmom13 01-07-03, 09:47 PM I got in an hour of X-country skiing. :snow: I guess if God is determined to bury all of Vermont under a ton of snow, I might as well be outside enjoying it :snow:.
Today went much better than yesterday if for no other reason than I got to eat dinner before 10 pm. With both of sons playing basketball and 2 different team each [that means I'm watching 4 different teams play], life is anything but normal :( I have to plan for late nights like last night by bring some fruit with me to the games, so I'm dying...:) and drooling all the snack bar.

vtmom13 01-08-03, 09:30 PM Today was a good day. There were no Basketball games to go to, just practices to pick the boys up from. I got to go to Curves and work out while they were practicing. And YES I finally made it over 1200 calories for the day. Oh yeah and tomorrow I get my truck back. I couldn't be happier :D

Suzannah 01-09-03, 07:16 PM You are doing great :)
I used to either overeat or undereat. Now I get to hungry if I am under 1000 calories!
Lookin into Cross Country skiing...sounds like so much fun! I want to rent the equipment first though and see if I like it before I invest money.
tonight I am supposed to exercise.:( I think I am going to go out walking even though it is cold and dark. I like the moon on the snow.

vtmom13 01-09-03, 10:30 PM It's still snowing here in Vermont. We haven't had a day without snow in 8 days now :( Today's snow caused a 2 hour school delay for my children, so all day today I will be playing catch up.
I love watching my son play basketball, but I hate sitting at the games. It is so hard to sit in the stands while everyone around you is eating all that great sports food. It even harder when you haven't had dinner yet, and your stomach is talking to you. Thankfully they had only one game tonight. Tomorrow I will have to sit through 2 games:(

vtmom13 01-10-03, 10:41 PM I got right out this morning and did my work out at Curves. We got more snow last night, but this afternoon we finally saw sun light. The office is going to kill with all the year end stuff you have to do. I have 2 basketball games tonight, and my husband want to go out to dinner :(:( It going to be a long day :(
Breakfast - yogurt
Lunch - beef soup and bologna sandwich
Dinner - Salad, 1/4 slice of brown bread with butter, baked potato plain, 3 oz sirloin and [oh well] small serving of apple crisp

vtmom13 01-11-03, 09:56 PM I really need to go grocery shopping. I got up this morning and found that the only breakfast thing I had left in the house is an old box of Luck Charms :) I really don't like grocery shopping. I've disliked since I was a little kid. Hum wonder if that says something about my weight battle.
I am so very hungry today. I mean hungry like my stomach is growling. I could so very easily go on eating binge like you would believe right now. Instead of eating more I got in an hour of snowshoeing in nice fresh powder. I felt less hungry after that. You know it seems like the closer I get to my goal weight, the harder it is to stay on my diet. You wouldn't think it would be that way :(
Breakfast - Luck Charms and 1/3 cup milk
Lunch - Santa Fe Rice and Beans with Tortilla Chips
Dinner - 6 inch dry BLT sub and 4 cups air popped pop corn
Snack - Smart Ones Fudge Bar
Calories - 1060
vtmom13 01-12-03, 08:18 PM So I made it one more week, and I'm with in reach of my goal. And it seem to get harder to do each day. It's Sunday and I'm still stuck in the office. This end of the year paper work is going to do me in. I'm going to try when I drop my son off for his practice to get in a walk in the outside air. I really need the break.
Ok I know I really didn't the brownie sundae, but sometime you just got to go over the top. I'll be paying for it the rest of tonight, and when I weight in next week that sundae will be right there with me :(
Breakfast - Thin Slice of Homemade Apple Cinnamon Bread
Lunch - Chicken Salad Sandwich and a Salad
Dinner - 1/2 cup Clam Chowder, small piece of fried catfish, 1/4 coleslaw
Snack - Brownie Sundae
Calories - 1646
Suzannah 01-13-03, 09:53 AM Don't sweat the brownie sundae....1600 calories is probably less than maintenance for you. I think that 1600 is supposed to be my maintenance amount and I am 5'2 and SUPPOSED to weigh 110-120.
You know, I always get inspired when I read your journal :)

vtmom13 01-13-03, 10:54 PM It is not going to be a good day, because I'm mad at my husband. He is one of those people who doesn't need much sleep [as in about 5 hours] and he doesn't see why anyone else should need sleep. Yup had me up asking dumb questions beginning at 4am this morning. You think though that having me up this early, he could have answered me about who was going to which son's basketball game tonight...but nooo.
I have spent all day on the phone. I think I hate Monday's. My neck is going to be killing tonight, and I have to drive 2 hours to watch the son play basketball, and smell all that sports food. At least I haven't felt hungry at all today.

Dinner - Slow Cooker Pizza and a Salad
Snack - Eskimo Pie
Calories - 1159
vtmom13 01-14-03, 08:42 PM I think I know why I got so heavey. It was because food was the one thing in my life that I knew would always be there for me. When people talk about comfort food, I can really relate to the idea. I used to be able to eat food and feel a comfortable sence of happiness come over me. Now though that is gone, now everyhting I put into my mouth I'm mentaly counting how many calories there are. No matter how hard I try to enjoy food, it's gone now. I suppose this is a good thing, but it makes me sad :( I feel like I've lost an old freind.

vtmom13 01-15-03, 09:05 PM I'm trying very hard to find things to be up beat about today. I've been way to negative lately. I went to Curves this morning and joked with some of the other Ladies. I think I'm feeling better about things again.
I think if I have to sit through many more basketball games my butt is going to fall off. My back is killed me from sitting on those things. It's a good thing that I love my boys.

vtmom13 01-16-03, 08:54 PM I don't feel well this morning. I'm warm and and my stomach feels off. I hope I'm not coming down with the flu. I can't seem to get out of my own way today. I am running on empty. God I hope I'm not getting sick.

vtmom13 01-17-03, 11:58 PM My God what a difference one days makes in your life. I feel like a whole new person today. I found someone to come in and do Payroll for me, so that I don't have to deal with that anymore, and lifted a weight off my shoulder that I can't begin to tell you about. I even found myself joking with the other Laddies at Curves this morning. I'm back to the old me.
Hey only two games tonight. If I don't freeze to death before morning [my God it's cold around here tongith] I have a nice quite weekend a head. If it weren't so cold tonight I would snowshoeing, with the full moon you can see out just like day light, it would be like magic.

Lunch - BLT and 1/2 cup Clam Chowder

vtmom13 01-18-03, 10:53 PM It is cold out. From the inside looking out you couldn't ask for a better day, but stick your head out and...ouch. Yet I have to get all my little critters feed this morning, because they need the food to help stay warm, so I might as well try going for a walk.
I did brave the cold and got in a wonderful walk. You just have to learn to enjoy winter.
I'll be away from the computer all day tomorrow. Back on Monday.
Breakfast - an Egg with Ham
