View Full Version : 4 months
RainAngel 02-01-03, 06:10 PM I have been doing okay the past couple weeks, only slipping up a couple days with emotional eating, but starting today, I am working on no slip ups......I have 4 months to hopefully lose 20 - 30 lbs before my Highschool reunion. Not that it's my main purpose to lose the weight, but it helps to have a goal to reach for like that.
I just have this image in my head of walking into that school and all the ones that made fun in me in the past just dropping their jaws to the ground lol. Kind of silly in a way I guess.....but it's gonna help me stay focused.....So hopefully all will go well.
I'm also looking for a new Job, working in a bakery is KILLER when you are on a diet, especially when that emotional eating strikes....ugggghhhh:c(
fleureange 02-01-03, 06:48 PM Oh man! I worked in a bakery before too. I sure know what your going through there!
WOW, look at your stats! I don't know how much you weighed in school, but look how far you've come.
WAY TO GO!
I totally understand why you want to lose the 20-30 lbs. Both for your own good and for...oh lets say... a little revenge? heheehehehe (evil laugh)
STAY FOCUSED!!!!!!!
You go girl. You go to that reunion and WOW them.
Do it for yourself, and do it for all of us who wish we had that oppertunity.
Good luck.
Darlene :hippy:
you can do it!! you will wow them at the reunion!!

RainAngel 02-05-03, 04:01 PM here again.....basically just writing in what I had for yesterday, was out late and wasn't able to write.....
Breakfast: Tomato Juice, and an Apple
Lunch: Cup of steamed vegetables(without butter, just a dash of salt), and an Apple
Snack: Banana
Dinner: Bowl of steamed veggies(again with out butter) and a dash of salt, and another banana.
Did have 3 cups of diet cola through out the day......and 3 liters of water.
Worked out for an hour in the A.M. Before I headed off to work, and I worked out an hour today.....So far I have worked out 4 times since Saturday when I started my road to NO cheating....at all. And all is going GREAT and I feel awesome
Kussanna 02-05-03, 04:22 PM Doing great RainAngel,
You are going to look and feel awesome for your reunion. I can't wait to hear their jaws dropping. muahahha.
Kim
RainAngel 02-05-03, 05:10 PM I'm hoping that's what will happen lol, should be one of the most rememberable experiances of my life....I really can't wait......my friends joke with me and say they imagine me being on one of those shows where I drag the meanest person on tv and be like "Look at me now" lol I'd never do that, but the thought is funny
RainAngel 02-05-03, 08:02 PM Todays Food journal....I try to never eat past 7:00
Breakfast: Slept right through it lol (stayedup late last night)
Lunch: a bowl of lettuce with nothing on it but fat free italian dressing
Snack: Golden delicious apple, and a banana
Dinner: bowl of lettuce with fat free dressing only and a small snack cheese on the side(about the size of a half dollar) for calcium
and some fat free crutons which i turned into something like stuffing, only made with out butter or anything else, just water, basil, and Italian Seasoning. Might sound grose but it was good I had a SMALL portion of this, just to see how it would turn out....not even a cup full.
I worked out today, for an hour, went walking for 30 minutes, and came back and did tae bo for another 30, I just need to keep this feeling in mind everytime I crave the sweets, I ALWAYS wanna feel this good :-)
Good luck to ya all
Kussanna 02-05-03, 08:10 PM Hi,
I can't help but tell you this... and I am sure others have mentioned it.
You are not eating enough. I know you want to get to goal and look great at your reunion but your body needs fuel. You have to add a few more foods to your day. I know you might not listen to me but I just had to say it.
You burned more exercising than you ate. I really hope that you add a little more to your menu.
You are doing a great job and I would hate to see it backfire. Try eating 5 small meals a day and try not to skip any meals. It will keep your metabolism up and going.
Just a little help from a person who cares about ya! :) :o
Kimmi
RainAngel 02-05-03, 08:12 PM thank you :-), yeah others have told me the same, only thing is I haven't really been feeling hungry......So I try not to eat more then what feels me up.....dunno what the problem is, but I'm going to try a little more tomorrow :-) Thank you for the concern

Kussanna 02-08-03, 06:22 PM Hi Rain,
Don't ya hate chaotic days? I had one yesterday and all I feel like doing today is sleeping! :D
The cookie was not bad. You probably needed the calories, actually. :o
Have a good weekend,

RainAngel 02-08-03, 11:23 PM Just kinda on here to write tonight.....I think this is the first full week, with the exception of last nights cookie, that I've gone without "cheating" in months, even though I have continued to lose weight, I now know, it could have been going alot faster. My scale is not right as of right now, and that is going to drive me mad for sure, but I know my clothes are getting loser on me...and I feel wonderful. I exercised 5 times this week, 3 of those times were for a full hour, and the other two were for a half an hour. I feel much happier, but am kind of concerned about myself being obsessed with it. I'm thinking about going to a weight loss place around my town to try and help me with nutritional value on food, right now I have in my mind that all food is evil, and that thought must disappear soon, it's not healthy. Thank you all for your support....this is the best diet forum i've ever been to.
RainAngel 02-09-03, 07:04 PM today's food
Breakfast: 1/2 slice of wheat bread with small amount of jelly
Lunch: 1 serving baked dorito's, 1/2 cup chicken taco salad,
babyface 02-09-03, 08:13 PM RainAngel,
I do think Kimberly (Kussanna) is right about you not eating enough, especially since you are exercising.
A good program to join is Weight Watchers. You should look into it. You are not the only person that feels like that about food and in Weight Watchers you might find the support you need.
Good Luck!
Babyface
RainAngel 02-09-03, 09:45 PM well I am about to eat more...I started feeling dizzy, and I know this probably isn't good, but my fiance is on his way to get me some taco bell right now.....1 bean burrito, and one chicken soft taco, not to bad could be worse :-)
you all have a good night
Kussanna 02-09-03, 10:21 PM Hi RainAngel,
If you ever want any healthy food ideas, stop on by my journal. I post my food and its caloric value next to it. I try to eat as balanced as possible and still find foods I enjoy. It might help you a little.
Just look after yourself. Food is not evil. :o Just in very large quantities.
Kim
RainAngel 02-10-03, 08:44 PM Breakfast: 1 slice of wheat bread with some Jelly
Lunch: 1/2 cup of vegetable soup and a cup of fruit
Snack: slice of wheat bread
3 liters of water
1/2 cup of hot chocolate
1 diet cola
Just finished my work out, I also weighed this morning, Last week I had lost a total of 3 lbs....my goal for each week is to lose 2.5 to 3 lbs to reach my goal by May 15th So I was pleased with that.
We just got insight digital cable hooked up, and was pleased to see that it has a personal trainer option....gives you a 10 minute work out for your legs, and a 30 minute weight training option.....and they can be fast fwd...or rwd. Thought that was cool. Tonight I did the leg toning, and tae bo, also did 30 minute weight training of my own...I have a weight book I go by, and I did some abb work outs....i'm feelin it tonight...which is good.
RainAngel 02-11-03, 10:27 PM Journal entry for today
Breakfast: 2 slices of wheat bread
Dinner: Big steamed veggie plate w/out butter, with fat free honey mustard dressing and two Rolls
RainAngel 02-12-03, 09:18 PM Breakfast: 2 slices of wheat bread
Lunch: 1/2 cup of fruit, 1/2 turkey sandwich on wheat bread
Dinner: 1/2 serving of chicken taco salad
Trying to eat some meat to get some B12 in my body......having some memory problems
exercised for an hour feeling really energetic......things are going good, got some compliments at work on the weight loss today whoohooo
RainAngel 02-17-03, 08:58 PM okay, have been a way for a few days with my honey...everything is still on track except for sunday......but there is my one bad day for the month.
I have been trying to have a much healthier menu, as in eating more....just shoving in more fruits and veggies where extra food is needed. I had realized I wasn't eating enough, but I'm not staying that hungry, it's not because i'm trying to starve myself or anything like that.
I have met my goal now for the first two weeks in Feb, which is losing two lbs every week...first week I lost 3.5 lbs and second week I lost 2, So I'm happy for that.
I am just trying to keep focused and not be so obsessed with it.....gotta take it one day at a time...I'm just so tired of being this way and feeling this way.......even after all that I've accomplished...it just gets so damn depressing
RainAngel, you've done so well..... try not to look at it as something to be depressed about. It's good not to want to be obsessed with it, but focusing is a must. Maybe focusing on how well you've done and how much you've achieved while you are focusing on keeping on track will help you feel better about the whole thing.
You're an inspiration for sure!!!
