Now that we are firmly into summer I got to wondering, how are all my fellow Seniors doing?
Are we continuing to exercise as much as we can?
Are we continuing to keep tabs on our food intake, continuing to control the size of the portions?
Are we drinking ample amounts of water?
Are we staying in a positive frame of mind?
And are we enjoying this wonderful summer? I'm happy to be alive. How about you???

Hi Jo,
I'm afraid that neither Spring or Summer have reached our mountians yes. We have a good day, then 3 bad days. It's miserable. Yesterday was super, and today is a mess, as usual.
I am starting on a new weight loss program Tomorrow. It is called "The South Beach Diet", designed by a Cardiologist, tested and proven to be safe and effective. I am hoping this will help me. It's similar to something I've been thinking about for a long time, but trying to deny. We will see after some time using this program. If it helps me, and actually does make me feel better, I will have to admit the truth of the facts that I am insulin resistant, and I dread it, but I must do what must be done. My body just cannoot continue taking this beating of obesity any longer.
I'm excited and half scared to death. But maybe right now what I need is something I've never tried.

Good luck to you, Sandie. I have heard many good things about SBD.
And since I am diabetic I am trying to do a lot of the things that are suggested for those following SBD. Recently I have begun controlling simple carbs and find that that has helped with my food cravings. My glucose seems to be under control these days.
We are all such individuals that what works for one person may not work for another. So it is up to each individual to find what works for that individual. And I guess we all have to keep tinkering. I know I do.
Good luck to you, and keep us posted.
And the weather in Wyoming is beautiful this weekend. Just beautiful. It is about time we have spring.
