LOWERING LDL CHOLESTEROL

There are three changes in your lifestyle that YOU CAN do to lower your LDL Cholesterol and help reduce your risk of heart disease:
EATING FOODS LOW IN FAT AND HIGH IN FIBER: Foods that can help lower your LDL Cholesterol are foods that are FAT FREE OR LOW IN SATURATED FAT AND OTHER FATS, such as 1% dairy products, lean meats, fish, skinless chicken or turkey, whole grains, fruits and vegetables. EATING MORE FOODS WITH SOLUBLE FIBER--such as oatmeal, pears, oranges, carrots, dried peas and beans can help lower your LDL Cholesterol.
LOSING WEIGHT: Losing weight can also help in lowering your LDL Cholesterol.
BEING MORE ACTIVE: REGULAR EXERCISE about 30 minutes of activity on most days of the week can help lower your LDL Cholesterol. It also enables you to lose weight. Work activity into your day by taking the stairs instead of the elevator; or turning off the televisoin and walking around the block

for that post. :) So, many people are being prescribed MORE MEDICATION such as Liptor to control their cholesterol rather than the doctor insisting on them eating properly !

The Cholesterol medications can be very harmful to the liver!

So, if any of you have any reasons to be worrying about Cholesterol, FIRST do you best to get it down with the proper eating habits and don't let the doctor put you on a prescription without first trying to get it down the healthy way by changing your diet.

I realize some people may still then need a prescription to lower cholesterol, but at least try to get it down yourself first.

Just a freindly health suggestion. :)
