OK

Day one..............

I am starting this pre-maturely

I am one pound away from my goal weight (*but would not mind another 5 gone for safekeeping........lol)

I will start from the beginning,

Years ago i went on an online weight loss program.......

lost over 40 pounds.......

thru diet, exercise, water and companionship.........

I then got a job at a Nursery school, working with toddlers, at first.......then i moved to the infant class (*with 7 infants)
and tho i walk daily (*weather permiting) i started working LONG hours (7:45-5:45-ish) and coming home to my family of 5 to make dinner and clean up and get them ready for school in the am, and make sure they are showered, bathed and cleanly dressed.....

Leaving me little time for myself.......very little.........

so around my birthday in Dec....... i dediced that the 15 pounds that i put on (even if it was only 3 pounds over my "official" goal weight, i was determined to make my self get back on track,

so i ordered winsor pilates, got a new food mover and halfheartedly went about my business, then i started getting pain in my stomach, one dr, said fibroids another said OH NOTHING but would prescribe med .....huh? or surgery for exploratory reasons, so i chose the surgery, since in the past i had adhexions, and they don't show on sonograms.....and april 17 they did the surgery, removed those sneaky adhesions and i had already lost about 6 pounds, with no exercise really, too painful

THEN
the end of april i started a REAL program
pilates 3 times a week
following the food mover to the window (letter)
and upping the water......

ok so now its the end of June and i am 106 pounds, one pound away from where i think i should be..........

and now i think i need a maintaining journal just to keep me focused and honest and on-track

maintaining is scary, been there before, and this time i want to keep it fool proof..........
this time i feel in better control, thru the pilates i am in better "shape" and thru diettalk i found companionship
so here's to a new life

Wow!!! You are ONE pound from your goal!!! And you've done it in such a healthy fashion and are ready to maintain!!!! All I can say is:

Hiya Miss Ronni!

Great job with your success in dieting! Only one pound to go woohoo!

I'm on the Richard Simmons FoodMover too.. don't ya just love it?

I have the Richard Simmons FoodMover Cookbook and a couple cookbooks like the "New Dieters Cookbook" and this Diabetic one that has all the food exchanges in it, making this diet even easier!

I will admit that this diet can be strict at times... especially if you want to go to Pizza Hut for dinner.. and you can't because you had that oatmeal for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch leaving you out of starches!

Anyway, keep up the good work, and you've chosen a great diet! ;)

Oh and one more thing...

After you get to your goal, are you going to continue using the food mover to maintain, and if so, what calorie card are going to maintain at?

hiya Ronnie.
congrats on your awesome weight loss acheivements so far, you should feel really proud of yourself you have done wonderfully.
maintenance is something i have been doing for 3 years now and through keeping up the good eating and exercise i have managed to stay at goal successfully.
come join us at the daily battle to stay at goal thread or stop by my journal and say gday.

Here WE GO

Yesterday was an ok day

breakfast -
cereal and milk with a banana

lunch -
Mc Donalds
burger w/o bun and small fries
(promised my kids)

Dinner -
sausage and pepper, salad, green beans, and pepper steak
1 cookie with coffee
(graduation party, and i skipped all the other good stuff, so not so bad)

workout
20 minutes advanced winsor pilates
laundry, swimming

it has been oh so hot here, water is no problem, I go back to work on Monday, so more structure to my days......i bring my food and water and i get more exercise......(I work in a nursery school, with infants)

I just ordered 2 new workout DVD's called Quick Fix with a workout blender, you can creat your own workouts from 10-30 minutes and i cannot wait to try them!!

Qvictoria - Thanx.....this time it wasn't too hard, lets see if i can stay focused (that is what this is for.....)

CC, I LOVE Richards food mover, its real food and it keeps me healthy,with all those veggies, some days its hard (*pms time) but i CAN do this for life, for maintaining i plan on moving to the 1400 card first and see from there, come on over to the richard simmons board and say hi to us all!!

Bell, YOU HAVE to let me know how you keep motivated, i lost most of my weight right around 3 - ish years ago, and slowly gained 15 back.........i plan onkeeping up with the exercise this time, which is where i think i went wrong before!

Aria, thanx but looking at your stats, you are doing GREAT!!!

Karen thank you so much , just keep on pluggin away, ignore the time that goes by and before ya know it you will have done it!!

:) Good Weekend

ate within my limits

worked out today did Minna Lessig's fat eliminator, 45 minutes,
first 30 aerobic/toning intervals last 15 weight and ab work
was a great workout and i really feal it now

also did about a gazillion loads of laundry, what with cleaning out the girls room and my son's new habit of 3 outfits and 2 bathing suits a day, plus the washer was on the blink this week, so i had a build up so to speak and i also had school stuff (stuffed animals and play mats and art smocks to wash)

did alot of garage saling yesterday.......so rearanged rooms, the girls got a tv stand so i had to move beds and dressers to set it up......and my son i bought and a/c for his room (its really little and i got this cute a/c for five bucks) i also got him a crate with a drawer for his Yu-Gi-Oh cards......OH and i found an OLD makeup mirror too! the one where the lights are on the side and it has 2 side mirrors and the middle one is magnified or regular, i have looked and looked for that one!

I cannot wait for my dvd's to come, patience

tomorrow starts work again, we had the week off, and its only a 4 day week anyway.......looking forward to the fireworks this weekend, last year we were so close that i got hit with a piece, i saved it of course!

well that is about it, gotta go finish making dinner

Magnificent Monday

Breakfast -

sm pluot (thought it was a plum...hmmmmmm)

stirfry veggie and noodles
sugar free ice pop

celery/carrots
grapes

dinner
pot roast, mashed taters, zuccini with tomato juice

sm piece of ice cream cake (daughters 13th birthday)

exercise
pilates

water
3 quarts


so all in all a good day

first day back at work, i had 3 babies and we played and didn't go for a walk (threat of rain........stilll waiting)

time to go fold laundry

Terrific Teusday

had a great day, things got done ........ i like that in a day

i ate well, drank 4 quarts of water, peed alot, and went for 2 walks with the babies, one for 45 minutes the other only a half hour, hey its hot....I also did Minna Lessigs strength and grace, its yoga and traditional toning combined (sortof like pilates huh?)
and now i am gonna dye my oldests hair, sheesh i forgot i got laundry to do tooooooo........
where does the time go?

Hey Ronni,
i love your positive outlook in your posts :)
for me personally the working out has been my biggest weapon against gaining any weight back. i still have the occasional treat but as long as i get those workouts in i know that it will all balance out. plus i am addicted to working out now anyway.
your minutes are great feel free to come log your exercise at the July exercise addicts thread in the exercise forum. would love to see you there!

Wed. was great, followed plan, worked out, and went to see fireworks
Thurs. also good, danced and played for 4 hours with the toddlers today, had to help out back there, had a blast, but got worn out!~ didn't work out, too tired, we also saw some more fireworks from the front yard......so everyone was up late... AGAIN

On the plus side, today i weighed in (a day early) and i lost 2 pounds, puttin me ONE pound UNDER goal.......SO now it really starts..........today is DAY ONE
so far i have had
2 sm pancakes with light syrup (very little)
1/2 cup f/f yogurt, and 3 strawberries (had to share what was left)
i plan on getting a manicure/pedicure today.......
i plan on finishing the mountain my family calls laundry and i plan on doing pilates AND Minna Lessigs fat optimizer (with weights) to make up for yesterdays sluggish behaviour

Saturday


all went well yesterday, stuck to plan, sortof
i did pilates, i did not get my nails done, duh 4th of july and all.....

i did no exercise yet today, its been very hot, and i am planning to do denise austin power pilates......

we went grocery shopping today and i was picking my stuff, you know for the diet, my husband said "hey i thought you were done" i lookied at him , rolled my eyes and said i will never be DONE.........he laughed and put the fat free stuff in the cart

funny, he can't seem to gain anything, and my shopping cart looks like it belongs to Cybil.......i have my fruit, and fat free stuff next to his candy bars and junk food.........well they say opposites attract!

Sunday was busy
swam with the kids, twice, worked out pilates, ate well and drank a stream of water.......lol

today well, so far drank all the water, ate well have a few snacks left, dairy and fruit to be exact, maybe yogurt and raisins......
gonna do a denise austin tape tonite
I REALLY need to tone up, and weight work is in my future (1/2 hour away actually ........ lol)
I called my video place today and my dvd's are gonna be here in about 2 weeks, they are moving, and blah....blah.....blah
i usually get them in less than a week
anticipation................

had a good day!~

slow starts, walked for 15 little minutes (trudged is more like it) hot sticky yucky weather........played with the older kids in the back for the rest of my "outdoor time" ...............

had a birthday at work and i bought the snacks.......cheese crackers and fruit (i did the shopping....hehehehe no cake...) funny thing is everyone knew who did it!~ they tease me about my "HEALTHY" lifestyle.......lol
HEY everyone ate well, and no SUGAR RUSH .............

had a good eating day, lol
a good water day........coulda been better but still not bad
and an ok exercise day, still owe myself the pilates workout, as soon as i digest, that is.....

OH BOY!

I am a bad BAD girl

i reached goal, i went to he!! and back, and now i VOW to post daily to this thread, it is mine after all, and it is here for a reason isn't it

How come when that ToM comes, everything around you falls apart?
hmmmmmmmmm had no willpower, no motivation and NO energy
is it the cosmos giving me a beating? "there you reached your goal, NOW deal with THIS"
or is it DUMB luck?
whoops now look.....i know you reached your goal......so here how we gonna deal with uh lets see........WHAM PMS

or is it all part of being a worikng mom of 3, with little or NO time for myself??
