Hi, all. I want to thank you for your kindness and support. Today marks the beginning of Week 2 doing the WW 123 thing. So far, so good. I’ve lost 7 pounds, which sounds like too much, but I always lose a lot the first week of a diet. I must retain water like a camel. I’ve been very careful to eat at least the minimum number of points each day, even if I have to work at it. Anyone else on 123 feel like you are eating all the time? At first I thought I would be starving if I stayed within my point range, but it is a lot of food. Plus, the gallon of water I’m drinking helps keep me full. I did some walking and running this week, but not enough. Friday I counted mowing my yard as exercise – it takes me a couple of hours and by the time I’ve finished I am sweaty and sore. Sounds like exercise to me! Anyway, I plan to do more exercise this week. My goal is to be able to run in a 5K by the end of September. I think that is doable. For the first time in a long, long time I am beginning to feel like I have some control in my life. I still feel exhausted all of the time (which is why my exercising is not great). I hope that the more I move (and the lighter I get) the more energy I will have. Like a lot of you, I have decided that I will NOT start the new millennium being fat and miserable. I may still be miserable, but at least I’ll look good! ;) Again, thanks so much. I’ll be checking in here every Wednesday to report on my progress (kind of like a cyber WW weigh-in). I hope to chat with you all, too, if my computer cooperates.

Great job! Like you, I lost a lot the first week--8#, but I agree that there's a lot of water there. I'm not on WW, but I am watching fats and making sure I do eat enough. It was actually hard to get my allowance all in today. Eating enough will keep us from going into the starvation mode. I share your dream of a 5k, but mine isn't until October. It is SO hot and humid here, but I'm staying with the running training. Have another very successful week!

Way to go, Dee! Great job on your loss. I know you'll do great. You're a real inspiration to me with your running. I think '5K?' and think 'No way!'. But seriously, some day I want to be able to run one semi-competitively. Right now I'd be happy just to be able to run that far without stopping :)

Good job again!
