Hi there. This is my first post. I hope no one thinks of this as on the same level of the purger, but I have been losing weight in a way I think is interesting. Starting in about May, I realized that while I was buying groceries and trying to be on a diet, I was always wanting to go to McDonald's and other fast food places. I was always ruining my diet this way... eating the healthy stuff, the diet stuff, but then cheating and going to get fast food.
Anyway... so in May I decided, screw it. I am going to just make myself a diet out of fast food.
For me, this has worked to some extent. Since May I have dropped 20 pounds without doing anything. What I do is, since I don't really get all that hungry until about 3 o'clock, I just make myself wait until about 5, and then I go and eat whatever I want from wherever I want... just being sure not to overeat. I also take a lot of vitamins, since I know this isn't the healthiest way to lose weight. Also, since May, I have switched from regular soda to diet.
I know I will probably be attacked for this but I don't plan to live like this forever. I never feel out of control doing this and I am always eating exactly what I want and enjoying it immensely.
I eat between 1000 and 1200 calories a day, with about 30-45% of the calories coming from fat, depending on where I eat.
I have always been on a diet as long as I can remember. I have tried everything under the sun. This is the only thing that has worked for me. I know there are healthier ways to diet but I think for some people, this might work.
If anyone has any suggestions for me, or any tips on how to be as healthy as possible while doing this, I would love to hear from you.
I have about 40 pounds I want to lose. I am 5'2 and my goal weight is 110 pounds. (I am a pretty small frame.)
I look forward to chatting with all of you!!

Maggie, switching from regular pop to diet pop has probably helped you lose that 20 pounds more than you realize!

I still go to the fast food places to eat, but don't go crazy with super sizing the meals, etc. Having a small sandwich and a side salad works for me. If I want a quarter pounder, my son and I usually split one.
