For those of you who haven't read my bio, I am Lindsay, a 20-year-old mama of one (Chase Aaron, born 10/25/01) from Louisiana. I am currently at 140 lbs. and size 7 with a goal of 115 lbs. and size 3 :-)

I am going to use this journal as a food and exercise log and as a diary for any feelings that might want out.

Here goes...

Perhaps today was not the best day to start this, but hey.

Breakfast: I got up late, so I only had time for a 12-oz. Diet Dr. Pepper at work.

Lunch: Salad with fat-free dressing and a 12-oz. Diet Dr. Pepper

Snacks: I had a headache (probably from lack of sugar), so I had a snack-size Milky Way bar and a Pecan Swirl cookie.

Dinner: My parents suggested giong to Nicky's. I had a half-order of chicken quesadillas, a few of my son's waffle fries, and a big glass of water. I was very proud of myself for ordering water and sticking with it! Most of the time I'll order water and then change my mind halfway through the meal and order a Coke, but I stuck to my guns this time.

Exercise: I meant to walk on my treadmill, but Chase fell asleep so early and was so tired from our New Orleans trip this past weekend that I didn't want to risk waking him by cranking up the noisy thing. I did walk to the post office and back on my lunch break, which is probably 1/2 mile all together.

Body Image: Today I didn't feel really good about myself. Since I ate an appalling amount of junk on our trip, I put on a little more pudge around the middle and am kind of bloated.

Tomorrow I am planning to eat Raisin Bran with skim milk for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and a scrambled egg sandwich for dinner. I also need to drink more water (I hate water, it's a constant struggle for me to drink it).

Hello,

I think your off to a great start so dont be so hard on yourself as we always are harder on ourselves than on others.

your exercise was good too. walking is one of the best.

keeping a journal really helps one to be honest and to focus more and you have done that. so count it as progress in the right direction.

as far as the water i am lucky cuz i always loved water so for me its not a problem but for you maybe you would like the flaovred water, i dont. or here and there drink diet soda. just a thought.

well take care and enjoy your 4th:tongue:atriot:
